Oops, There It Is

During this week's superfluous dog and pony show hearings with the oil company executives, where Democrats worked up considerable vote-centric righteous indignation over the fact that the oil companies make profits (better they should lose money ?), representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) let the liberal cat out of the bag. When one of the oil execs blamed Congress for the high price of gasoline, citing the fact that Maxine Waters' Democratic party won't allow any domestic oil exploration (and hasn't for decades), Mz. Waters turned into Hugo Chavez, threatening like a good little commie to nationalize the oil industry. Waters seemed to realize what she was saying in mid-unamerican brain fart, and was momentarily at a loss for words. You really have to watch the exchange, it's priceless. It's not often you get a liberal on record telling the truth about their actual agenda. This is one of those rare times. Waters broke the liberal secrecy vow of 'never tell america what we really believe, or america will realize what radicals we are and never vote for us again'. Thanks to Hot Air for the video.
A few months ago, I heard Barack Obama (D-ILL) at a campaign rally, talking about how difficult it was going to be to take away the profits of the oil companies. When I heard Obama say that, I was thinking 'what gives YOU the right to take away the profits of the oil companies ?' They don't have that right, but Maxine Waters has shown the way. All the libs have to do is rescind capitalism and freedom. Piece of cake.
Hope I'm not being a divisive fearmongerer. Hey, what are those stormtroopers doing breaking down my front door ? I'll have to go see what they wa…

I have seen some sad displays of grandstanding and avoiding responsibility from "our" leaders before but they have hit a new low. The sermons and questions were so sophmoric and transparent I am not sure which is worse our "leaders" complete refusal to take any responsibility and work on the problem or the fact we fall for their baseless blame game.

Well, King, Obama wonders how to take all the profits from the oil companies, Hillary has said that she intends to take all their excess profits to use for her health care reform and now we see Ms. Waters talking about something that sounded very much like nationalization to me. I wonder if these people are talking at their little tete tetes off the floor of the two houses of Congress. Waters may have really let the cat out of the bag.
It is past time for we, the people, to start taking the government of this nation back to our own control. How do we do that? We start this summer and spring voting for anyone and everyone other than the members of the House in the primaries and we finish the job in November as we vote out all incumbents that get past the primary process. The only way we can ever make the Congress believe that we are finished with them is for us to vote them out of office. Why would they start campaigning immediately after they are elected until the next election if it wasn't considered an earned gravy train for them? Vote the bungs out of office and watch the others start changing their ways.
Is there any way for us to convince the members of both parties that it has to be done as soon as possible? Will people vote their party members out of office not knowing if the other group will do it? It doesn't make any difference at all. We must start somewhere and sometime or it will be too late. After they have nationalized the oil industry it will be way too late to stop them as they take over health control, and eventually, easily begin the dictatorship of the proletariat. I really do wonder how many of our people really know what that little dictatorship is. I don't think very many do know but they will be forced to learn when those people take over business, government, and education.

angryc,
Those hearings should have shown America how clueless their leaders are, if the media had informed Americans of the results, but they didn't. Those oil company execs ate Congress for lunch. The Congressional libs looked like the manipulative buffoons they are.
And I'm starting to think Pat Leahy really has become a demon of some sort, a creature of the underworld. Something ain't right there

Leahy is a true American Patriot.
