Who Does This Smell Like ?
Posted January 24th, 2008 by Da King

Here it is, two days before the Democratic South Carolina primary, and the latest polling has Barack Obama holding an 11 point lead over Hillary Clinton. What can the Clintons do to change that and tilt things in their favor ? Hmmm. It wouldn't be to get a months old sex scandal they've been sitting on made public so close to the election that it can't be disproved, would it ? A guy named Larry Sinclair has made a YouTube video claiming he had gay oral sex and did cocaine with Barack Obama in 1999. Devastating to Obama if true, which is most likely isn't. Even if it isn't true, it's potentially devastating to Obama in South Carolina due to it's timing. This sure looks like a setup, a hit job on Obama. Sinclair even says he will take a polygraph test. I'll be real surprised if that ever happens.
This sex scandal may be breaking at the perfect time to derail Obama, but it appears that an awful lot of people have known about it for a long time, going back to last october at least. Blogger Ron Rosenbaum reports that the L.A. Times and and other DC media and insiders knew about an unspecified sex scandal on october 29, 2007. He says it was pretty common knowledge among the media, but they didn't know if they should run the story (if it was a Republican, the mainstream media would have run the story about two minutes after they got it, like they did with Republican Senator Larry Craig. The media only acquires "ethics" when a Democrat is involved. Not that there's a liberal media or anything). Columnist/reporter Robert Novak also talked about an unspecified Obama scandal that was given to him by Democratic sources from the Clinton campaign, from the same time period.
Since the mainstream media wasn't going to run the Larry Sinclair story, the internet media was used, in the form of YouTube. Sinclair is probably looking for his 15 minutes of fame, and probably a few bucks as well.
There may be those of you who think it was the Republicans who are behind this, but if it was the Republicans, wouldn't they have waited until the general election to release this bombshell ? I think the timing of this points directly to Team Clinton. Of course, I'm just speculating, and the Clintons will have deniability. They always do. If Hillary ends up blaming this on the "Republican machine" (her stock evasion), you'll know it was the Clintons behind this for sure.

Forget this B. Hussein Obama-homosexual sex scandal. It's a distraction.
The real story is the race card that the Clintons are dealing — again — off the bottom of the deck against Obama who they consider uppity.
The Clintons, and a large part of the Dim establishmet, are thinking to themselves right now, "Doesn't Obama know that Negroes are to provide votes for us, not real leadership. Who does he think he is?"

King, you hit the Clintons right in the kisser with this one. They have been doing a great job of releasing things like this at the proper time and then blaming the Republicans. As you say, it seems just a bit ridiculous that the Republicans would get this one out and running before the campaign for the election. I wonder how effective those who believe the Clintons are in their jobs and businesses.

But you're still too naive to think the Clinton's were baiting the race card, right?
And nice try on the "liberal media" comment. The Larry Craig story was clearly different. Here's why: Larry Craig was arrested… by a real life police officer. The Obama story is little more than a rumor before this YouTube clip. A journalist's credibility is hugely at stake when reporting rumors, but not so much when using information obtained from an arrest. Furthermore, Craig supported an Idaho constitutional ban on gay marriage. The hypocrisy card usually plays very well in the media, liberal or not.

And yes, this smells exactly like McCain's illegitimate black daughter (also in S.C.). I sure hope the Clintons win. I don't think I could stand the absence of Rovian mud-slinging.

Brent,
I'm not "too naive" to believe anything about the Clintons. The Clintons are capable of any dirty tricks to secure the presidency. That's a given. I just thought the race baiting charges were quite a stretch, that's all, especially when you consider the list of statements the Obama campaign compiled that they were looking to spin as racist for their advantage. If the Clintons were trying to bait Obama, he should have at least been smart enough not to fall into the trap. Therefore, I think Obama wanted to fall into the trap, and even created the illusion of a trap, because it would benefit him in S.C.
But I concede I could be wrong. That's what I get for defending the Clintons for once in my life, lol.
And if the hypocrisy card plays so well in the media for liberals too, why was Hillary on the Tyra Banks show last week playing the hurt and forgiving wife and feminist, when it was Hillary who led the massive smear campaign against the women her husband sexually abused in the 90's ? Why are Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank still bigwigs in the Democratic party ? Why is William Jefferson still there ? Why is Harry Reid not held accountable for funneling millions to his family members ? Why did Alcee Hastings stay in power ? When the media goes on about how "Bush lied" about Iraq, why don't they mention that the previous Democratic administration, the CIA, the Congress, and other world intelligence bodies all believed the same things Bush did about Saddam ? I think Democratic hypocrisy is distinctly ignored and forgiven in the liberal mainstream media, where 90% of reporters identify themselves as Democrats. I'm most definitely not making that up.

And Brent, saying 'the Republicans did it' is the Clintons favorite coverup and evasion. Remember the "vast right wing conspiracy" ? Hillary still sings a variation of that tune in almost every speech and debate. It's their favorite play. I'm astounded that anyone is still gullible enough to fall for it.

Vince,
I'm still not convinced about the Clintons playing the race card…but you may convince me yet. It's starting to make more sense to me.
Dick Morris hates the Clintons, with good reason, since he worked for them and he has a conscience. I once heard Alan Colmes ask Morris why he was so anti-Clintons, and Morris said, "I have a lot to atone for". I thought that kind of said it all.

Roy,
It must all be another vast right wing conspiracy manufactured by Karl Rove, lol.

Among the reasons why the Clintons feel free to play the race card is because they believe that the blacks are so mentally chained to the Plantation of Government Dependency that, even though "dissed" by the Clinton machine, they can't do anything else but come running to Big Sister Hillary in November.
The sad part is that the Clintons might be right in their assessment.

I think your sentiment is true when talking about the Democratic party in general, but blacks aren't beholden to the Clintons in particular. They will support Obama probably even more in november. Obama will cause a greater turnout among black people, I'd think, due to the historic nature of having the first black man with a legitimate shot at the presidency. That's even inspiring to me, though I would have preferred that the first black president be a conservative like Condi or Colin rather than a liberal.

"They [blacks] will support Obama probably even more in november.
Of course.
But that misses the point, which is that the Clintons will derail Obama now in the primaries by means fair & foul, so the guy won't be around in November.
What I further say is that even after playing the race card against B. Hussein Obama in the primaries, the Clintons will effectively say to the blacks, "Okay, so we sleazed up your guy. Get over it …. and don't forget to vote for Hillary in November."
And the blacks will meekly comply because they are so chained to government dependency and the Democratic Party, for which Comrade Hillary will the standard bearer.

Clintons Play the Race Card Again
by: Clarice Feldman
Chris Hitchens reminds us of the many times in the past the Clintons have used racial politics for their own advancement, and concludes:
Many of these same people do not like it now that they see similar two-faced tactics being employed against "one of their own." Well, tough. And many of the most prominent and eloquent black columnists-Bob Herbert, Colbert King, Eugene Robinson-are also acting shocked. It's a bit late.
I have to say that Bob Herbert shocked even me by quoting Andrew Young, who said that his pal Clinton was "every bit as black as Barack" because he'd screwed more black chicks. How is Hillary Clinton, or Chelsea Clinton, supposed to feel on hearing that little endorsement? One gets the impression, though, at least from the wife, that anything is OK as long as it works, or even has a chance of working.
When Toni Morrison described Clinton as "black" on the basis of his promiscuity and dysfunction and uncertainty about his parentage, she did more than cater to the white racist impression of the African-American male. She tapped into the sort of self-hatred that is evidently more common than we might choose to think.
Say what you will about Sen. Obama (and I say that he's got much more charisma than guts), he is miles above this sort of squalor and has decent manners. Say what you will about the Clintons, you cannot acquit them of having played the race card several times in both directions and of having done so in the most vulgar and unscrupulous fashion. Anyone who thinks that this equals "change" is a fool, and an easily fooled fool at that.[/quote]

Did anyone watch the Sunday Morning political talk shows on 2/18?? One of Obama's campaign spokesmen stated that if the Democratic super delegates voted for Hillary Clinton and
gave the nomination to her, there would be riots in the streets that would overshadow the 1968 Chicago riots. One of the commentators called it a threat, and he was completely correct. Wake up America; Obama is leading this
country down a very dark road!!
