Have the MSM and the left politicians ever used fewer words to slam and bash than they did on the words of General Sanchez. If one reads the whole speech it seems they did some real cherry picking with that speech to get the meaning they wanted to be there.

Lately, it seems the tactic of the loons has been to pluck a few words out of context and then use them to try to smear their enemies. I guess the backlash from moveon's general 'Betray-us' ad got them more bent out of shape than usual.

I should look up the NY Times opinion of government surveillance of americans in the 1990's and post it here. Back when Clinton was in the big chair, the Times realized that such surveillance was necessary for national security. Now that Bush is in the big chair, the Times realizes that Bush is a fascist who is trampling american rights, and they have no trouble exposing classified national security secrets. How anyone takes the Times seriously about anything to do with politics, I can't answer.

The MSM and the left have tried to use this problem to their good fortune by lying about it as often and in every way they can. So far they have been pretty successful with their lies and stretches of truth but there are still too many people who just can't go along with them. They will never manage to use this set of accusations to arrive at the agenda they have in mind.

I think that they have done a better job of lying about the words of General Sanchez the past few days than about these taps. I think the major media sources have nearly convinced the people of the nation that Sanchez had his press conference to take the administration to task when reading his whole speech makes it very obvious that he had no such thing in mind. He was trying to show how the MSM and the Democrats have used lies about Iraq so often and have people nearly convinced that they are right.

Somehow we have to convince the people of the United States that they have been lying all along and in so doing have propagandized the whole war to keep the world from understanding what really has been happening. The whole NSA thing has been based on lies by the MSM and the Democrat politicians.
