Coulter Guilty Of Christianity
Posted October 12th, 2007 by Da King
I don't usually write about religion, but I stumbled across a CNN article about Ann Coulter making comments concerning Christianity and Judaism. Notice the hate directed at Coulter in the reader comments after the CNN article. I have to admit, I was kind of shocked at the reaction to Coulter's words. I understand the need for tolerance, but it strikes me that a lot of people are calling Coulter a bigot and demanding that she lose her job here all because Coulter is MOUTHING THE TENETS OF CHRISTIANITY. Here is the crux of what she said (Deutsch is the interviewer, who is Jewish):
Deutsch: It would be better if we were all Christian ?
Coulter: Yeah.Deutsch: We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians then?
Coulter: Yeah. Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track.Deutsch: You can't possibly believe that. You can't possibly. You're too educated.
Coulter: Do you know what Christianity is ? See, we believe your religion, but you have to obey. We have the fast track program.Later in the interview Deutsch asked Coulter if she doesn't want any Jews in the world:
Coulter: No, we think - we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say.
Deutsch : Wow, you didn't really say that, did you ?
Coulter: Yeah, no, That's what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express. You have to obey laws. We know we're all sinners.Deutsch said he was personally offended.
Coulter: No. I'm sorry. It is not intended to be. I don't think you should take it that way, but that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to live up to all the laws. What Christians believe - this is just a statement of what the New Testament is - is that that's why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don't believe our testament.
Deutsch continued to call Coulter's comments anti-semetic.
Coulter: No, no, - I don't want you being offended by this. This is what Christians consider themselves, because our testament is the continuation of your testament. You know that. So we think Jews go to heaven. I mean, [the late Rev. Jerry] Falwell himself said that, but you have to follow laws. Ours is "Christ died for our sins". We consider ourselves perfected Christians. For me to say that for you to become a Christian is to become a perfected Christian is not offensive at all.
Now, Ann Coulter is a pretty blunt speaker here, as usual, but what bigoted and hateful remarks did she make ? It IS the teaching of Jesus that Christianity is the true religion. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me". Does that make Jesus an anti-Semitic hate-filled bigot too ? Jesus said he was the fulfillment of scripture, which is Jewish scripture. That is what Christians have to believe if they are to be Christians at all. Is it now bigotry to espouse Christianity ? Or are you allowed to be a Christian as long you shut the heck up about it ? I don't think Jesus was in favor of that either, or he wouldn't have given all those sermons, and the Apostles wouldn't have gone out to spread the word following his death, regardless of how politically incorrect it was, either then or now.
Or maybe, in this brave new world of moral relativity, equal validity of all views, and no absolute truth, you are allowed to say you are a Christian, as long as you don't really believe it, like certain presidential aspirants who get coached on how to fake religiosity so they can fool the bumpkins out in the heartlands of america into voting for them, not that I'm accusing any of our candidates of that (Hillary).

Finally, something other than partial sound bites of what went on with Coulter in that interview. I haven't looked very hard to find it all but nothing is coming from the MSM that includes all of it. Only those parts that can be used to make her look bad have been made available by that group and that leaves most of us in the dark. I guess I need to quit relying on the al Times and CNN for my information about things like this one.
I wonder if the Jewish groups will have any success at shutting Colter's mouth. There are plenty of political groups that want to muzzle her so maybe some of them will manage to keep her off radio and TV. It seems to me that this would amount to prior censorship which is unconstitutional but then she is very politically incorrect and the most important thing these days of Democrat rule seems to be political correctness.

Little Christian Orphan Annie says…
"….that is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews. We believe the Old Testament. As you know from the Old Testament, God was constantly getting fed up with humans for not being able to live up to all the laws. What Christians believe - this is just a statement of what the New Testament is - is that that's why Christ came and died for our sins. Christians believe the Old Testament. You don't believe our testament."
So God couldn't stand the Jews disobeying all his rules, his patience wore thin, and so he changed the rules of the game, killed his own son so his anger over the disobedient Jews could be grounded out and took on a whole new religious wardrobe, so to speak. No longer a God of retribution, now he's demonstrated his bi-polar self to also be loving,…how, exactly, is not clear because everybody still dies.
But to Little Christian Orphan Annie, people who believe what I just wrote are perfected Jews, i.e., Christians.
People, like Little Annie, who believe that the God of the Old Testament is the same God as the New Testament believe in a schitzophrenic God. But that is what a perfected Jew, a Christian, believes.
No question that evangelical Chrisitianity is exclusive. No one else gets to heaven but believers in Jesus. Christians are being triumphalistic when they believe and say that….in other words….they are very small…..Annie, herself, is a very small person.
But to say…."we just want Jews to be perfected"….?
What if Annie said, 'we just want blacks to be perfected'? What if I said, "I just want women to be perfected"? Would that be okay and not be a smear of blacks or women?
Christian zealots want it both ways. They want to screech about others, gays, women, Muslims, Jews,….but they don't want to be screeched at themselves for their utterly barren belief system. As soon as someone writes a book that's devastating to religion, that exposes it's totally corrupt history and superstitious theological mumbo-jumbo for what it is….then the airwaves are filled with "It's a war on Christianity"…."poor us".
In this particular case, Annie was being smart-assed just to get away with it….I mean you realize she's pathological….right?

Do you think that you will go to Heaven, you wild eyed atheist you? I don't think I will have to ever worry about meeting you face to face unless I manage to go to hell. LOL
Actually you have such a hard time allowing others to have religiouis beliefs because they just might get some goodies that you won't get.
I do think that the God of Christianity is a forgiving one and Yahweh was a god of retribution. Of course, that is beyond your ability to believe in anything other than what you believe, whatever that may happen to be.

I get it, Rev. I can translate far left lunatic speech.
You are saying it's bad to be judgemental about gays, Jews, Muslims, blacks, women, etc………and at the same time you are judgemental to the nth degree about christians. I guess that makes sense in some bizarro leftist world, but it doesn't make much sense in mine. If Coulter is to be guilty for some kind of hate speech for espousing Christianity, then you are guilty of the same for calling Christians crazy.
Btw, I do want blacks and women to be perfected. Whites and men too. Just not those New Zealanders. They gotta go

Such anger tells me we're getting close to a breakthrough with the Reverend. Once we've got the root cause of that pinpointed, we just might be able to deal with some of his other issues.

Good to see you stick up for her.

Ann has it right regarding conversion of the Jews.
The lady stands up for Catholic teaching more than today's bishops do.
