Hillary's Deeply Held Convictions

Posted September 27th, 2007 by Da King

Why is it that the Clinton's can lie through their teeth on a regular basis and never get called on it by the mainstream media, even when the lies come only a few days apart ? Okay, my friends, put your hands down, I know you all know the answer. This is for those 'other' people, the ones who think the Clintons can do no wrong, who think the Clintons actually have decency and character and things like that.

Hillary has been out on the campaign trail telling some whoppers lately, as pointed out in Ron Kessler's column. Here are a few examples from the column:

Regarding the moveon.org ad attacking general Petraeus: Clinton on Meet the Press on Sept. 23 called for an end to such attacks. "I don't condone anything like that, and I have voted against those who would impugn the patriotism and the service of the people who wear the uniform of our country", she said.
Yet three days earlier, Clinton had voted against a Senate resolution to condemn the MoveOn.org ad

——————————————————————————————
On Sept. 23, on Fox News Sunday, Clinton said that she has "fought hard" for body armor . . ." She added, "I've stood with my colleagues to fight hard for armored vehicles because we knew that they needed additional protection in Iraq and they weren't getting it".

Yet last May, Clinton voted against the emergency supplemental bill to provide $1.6 billion for body armor, including advanced combat helmets; $2.4 billion to help protect against improvised explosive devices; and $3 billion for mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicles.
——————————————————————————————-
During her Sept 23 appearance on Meet The Press, Clinton said that current strategy in Iraq is not working: "I will end our involvement at the level that we've seen that has not proven to be successful".

But in August, Clinton had said in a speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention in Kansas City, Mo., that the so-called surge in Iraq is "working".
——————————————————————————————-
Clinton's prevarications about her vote to support the Iraq war are even more striking. On Oct. 10, 2002, she stated on the Senate floor: "It is clear. . . that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capability to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons".

On Sept. 15, 2002, she said on Meet the Press: "I can support the president, I can support an action against Saddam Hussein because I think it's in the long term interests of our national security . . ."

Yet this year in the Democratic presidential debate on Aug. 19 in Des Moines, Clinton claimed that when she voted for the Authorization of the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq, she thought she was voting to support more diplomatic efforts. She said she "regret[ed] giving George Bush the authority that he misused and abused".

In fact, she voted against an amendment introduced in 2002 by Sen. Carl Levin that would have required more diplomacy. On the Sept. 23 Meet the Press, Clinton made yet another misleading statement about that vote, saying she opposed the measure because she did not want to give the United Nations veto power over U.S. actions. But the measure did not give the U.N. veto power and explicitly said the U.S. has the inherent right to use military force in self-defense.

Another article detailing Hillary's hypocrisy on Iraq can be found here.

But I can't disagree with everything Hillary says. "The American people are tired of liars and people who pretend to be something they're not", stated "lifetime Yankee fan" Clinton.

Amen, girl.

I also think there are some Hillary quotes that DO reflect her true convictions, like these:

"The only way to make a difference is to acquire power"

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good" - on revoking the Bush tax cuts.

"Who is going to find out? These women are trash. Nobody's going to believe them" - Hillary the 'feminist' on hubby Bill's numerous indiscretions and sexual attacks. Another Hillary quote is also pertinent here. "As women and as lawyers, we must never again shy from raising our voices against sexual harassment" - Right, unless political power is involved and/or the women are 'trash'.

And then there's the personal side of Hillary (when the cameras aren't rolling): "Fk off! It's enough that I have to see you sh!t-kickers every day, I'm not going to talk to you too!! Just do your Gdamn job and keep your mouth shut".
(From the book "American Evita" by Christopher Anderson, p. 90 - Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with "Good morning".

And finally, the introspective (and self-serving) Hillary. "Probably my worst quality is that I get very passionate about what I think is right".

Sure it is, Hillary. Sure it is.

Now that you mention it, I don't remember any member of the MSM questioning Hillary about one of these lies. I wonder if they are still afraid of the vaunted Clinton machine and think that she may well have them done awaty if they force her into a position of admitting a lie. That is a very scary thought but it may be true. There is a string of bodies of people who offered to tell the truth about the Clintons back in the 80s. Ron Brown??

  2. Ghost of Vince Forrester Says:

As Rush says, Hillary keeps the testicles of those in the "Drive By Media" in lock box.

As for her fellow politicians not critizizing her, remember .. those FBI files were never recovered.

  3. Da King Says:

LOL. Great logon id, Ghost of Vince Forrester (I think his last name was Foster, though). Very funny.

Now, I don't want to start a conspiracy theory here fellas, but……that necklace Hillary was wearing the other day, it kinda looked like it was made out of, gulp, human bones, aiiieeeeee !

  4. Cazmattimer Says:

I like how about 7/8ths of your article is just a long, long, long, long quote from somebody else's column.

Way to show how lazy you are!

  5. Dumb Red Neck Says:

I'm a dumb redneck, and instead of talking about the good someone does I will talk about the fact that people act differently privately then publicly. I mean Bush acts the same (complete vegetable) in front of the camera as behind it. Don't bring Dick into this, because I don't have one LOL, but seriously, he shoots people on camera and behind camera. He is real. I prefer real people that would rather burn down forests and rape the planet, and send people where they aren't wanted to die for a cause that can only be contributed to building the southern coffers.

You are a complete moron, you would rather bash on someone then talk about the good they do. She's human, but nah let's impose our dumb redneck views. I cannot believe that Ohio.com and the Beacon gave you way to spout your stupid conservative opinion.

Now if you will excuse me I have to go blow up some baby killers, because it's the only way.

  6. roysoldboy Says:

I think that Cazzmattimer needs to busy himself with the Blog of Destruction rather than this one. For him, in case he reads any of these comments, One is written by a man who deeply hates the US unless it is being run by liberals and the other by a man who is the complete opposite. This is the one from the opposite man

For redneck, in case you aren't indeed old Red himself, I think that you fail to see anything that is not completely what I call left handed.

For da KIng, you are doing a bang up job of what you were originally tasked to do. So good in fact that I seldom look at old Red at all.l Why not just stay happy reading truth and ignore all the lies of Red?

  7. Dumb Red Neck Says:

    For Roys old butt boy…

I see both sides, unfortunately you can only choose one, and the old boys of the conservative view point are heading down a path I cannot follow. The Reps have always been out for thickening their pocket books at the expense of everything else, and good ole boy southern politics is the biggest form of terrorism there is. Remember it has only been about 4 generations since all those southerners wanted to go their own way.

Unfortunately no one in the states learns from history and we are doomed to watch a bunch of hillbillies ruin the world and the american image.

  8. roysoldboy Says:

Would the Dumb Red Neck have any idea who was in control of the South when they went their own way? I wonder why so many of the black people in the South supported the Republicans who had been responsible for their freedom. Could it have been a bunch of good old boys who were Democrats who took the South out of the Union until that horrible Republican, Abe Lincoln, came along?

Any good redneck leans a bit farther right than you manage to do so you could be Red and may be since you are such a far left leaner.

  9. sunklhammer Says:

King-man, do you happen to have this link?:

  10. sunklhammer Says:

    To the Dumb Red neck:

Thanks for confirming what we immediately suspected:

you're an emasculated, uneducated, mentally retarded result of the union between a couple of mutants of the same sex.

  11. Da King Says:

    Dear Dumb Redneck,
You said I should talk about the good someone does instead of criticizing Hillary for her contradictions, and then in the next sentence you called Bush a 'complete vegetable'. I think it's time for you to take some hypocrite avoidance training. I mean, shouldn't you have been talking about all the good Bush has done ? And why is it that every time I want to talk about Hillary, who IS a candidate for president, people of a certain political persuasion want to talk about Bush, who ISN'T ? Odd.
Btw, what good has Hillary done ? You forgot to mention that.

  12. Cazmattimer Says:

No no no, roys, i'm just pointing out how lazy the writer is. Quoting something is needed to back up a point, but just lifting somebody else's column as part of their own blog is quite lazy.

I hope da king agrees and that she did not get paid for that.

  13. roysoldboy Says:

Cazmattimer, did you notice that the King gave credit for the article he used. It seems he does at least know about the proper method of using c & p and too many of the opposite bent don't understand that. I was proud of him for that courtesy.

  14. Da King Says:

    Cazmattimer,
I did pull most of my piece from Ron Kessler's article about Hillary, which I credited to him and linked to. If you think that's lazy, fine with me, but I saw no need to reinvent the wheel. Perhaps you can look at any of the other of 8-10 articles I have written here in the past week, in between working my full time job. I think you'll find that lazy is the last thing I am.

    monica…

Definitely, the most sensible thing i have seen in a long time….
