The Cleveland Cavaliers completed a deal with center Zydrunas Ilgauskas to bring him back to the team for the remainder of the season.
The deal is just for the rest of the year and uses a pro-rated portion of the bi-annual exception. Ilgauskas will be able to test the free agent market next season.

Welcome back “Z”, we love you.
well have the pieces to the puzzle almost back in place, now its time for us to finish off the season strong and win it all …lets go cavs
Z should have been outlawed from rejoining the Cavs… this whole deal is a scam and an insult to the sport. The Cavs are trying to cheat their way to a championship and i hope it doesnt happen. Its almost embarressing that the Cavs which i used to think were a great team have a star that has to be bought year after year in order to stay. Cavs fan need to tell him there is no I in team
Having a bad day truenbafan? Not happy don’t watch. And certainly no cheering or wearing of colors when banner is hoisted.
Banner ain’t being hoisted, sorry my friends. Watch them dissected in the playoffs just like last year when matchups are exploited and Mo Williams folds, once again, like the punk he is.
truenbafan, No argument that the loophole should be closed but it is there and has been used by other teams in the past. Stupid to not utilize the rules to your advantage. Not cheating!
As a lifetime Cleveland fan I won’t believe a championship until I see it. The pieces are certainly there.
Ilgauskas is a poor post player, an average rebounder and shot-blocker, a poor defender, and weak in the paint, both figuratively and literally. Precisely how does a giant that happens to have a nice 15′-18′ shot help the Cavaliers in the playoffs? As combinations go, Ilgauskas and James have gone together like peanut butter and pork.
Z won’t matter in the long run. Artest will shut down LeBron IF the Cavs make the Finals…

I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that this year that James is averaging 31.5, 9 and 9 against the Lakers. Just sayin’.
