A testy exchange between LeBron James and the Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah added some spice to what had been a lackluster affair Friday night at Quicken Loans Arena.
Noah apparently had an issue with James busting a couple of moves out on the court with six minutes left in the game. Noah said something about it to James who then walked over to the Bulls bench, drawing a technical from the officials. James was asked if the dancing upset Noah.
‘’I don’t know. It’s not my worry at all. We got a good win,’’ he said. ‘’ That’s what we do, we have fun when we play basketball. If there’s a problem we handle it on the court.’’
When asked what happend, Noah said ‘’nothing’’ and denied that any conversation took place. When pressed he added: ‘’It’s just frustrating to lose, you know? It’s just frustrating to lose the way we have been losing lately.’’
James said that he didn’t mean any disrespect toward Noah or the Bulls.
“This is not something that is new. We have fun. We love to play the game of bball. It’s nothing aboout showboating on a team. I’ve seen it happen all last year. I think he was more frustrated about the way he played as an individual.’’
Noah scored just seven points and had 10 rebounds on the night.
Buzzer beaters: The Cavaliers extended their winning streak at Quicken Loans Arena to six games…LeBron James scored his third consecutive double-double, scoring 23 points and dishing out 11 assists….The team had 11 turnovers in the first half and none in the second.

The dancing is not a good sign, especially considering the team hasn’t been playing as well as it could up to this point. I don’t seem to hear LeBron harping on the need to play better defense as much as he had in past seasons, either. Maybe it will all click after the first of the year but we’ll see, I guess.
I don’t recall Michael Jordan, Magic or any of the other stars act like a he was some sort of rock star. LeBron reminds me of Dennis Rodman. Who has the gonads to say something to him. Just pathetic!
I had to suffer through Noah’s dancing when he played college ball so hows my a$$ taste.
lebron is a dancing jackass. if his pathetic coach had an ounce of sense he would have told the dancing queen to knock it the hell off.
let there be dance, jealous haters
I am a cavs fan and have been since inception. Who am I jealous about? The only thing I hate is that his mother’s crackhead upbringing is showing through her boy.
According to Ric Bucher, amongst the gems Noah gave to Fred Astaire was, “This is so f*cking old,” and the thing that really got Fred’s attention, “You’re a (rhymes with “rich”). As much as I hated Noah during college, he really surprised in last season’s playoffs and all this season. I thought he was just a black Varejao, but he’s clearly much better than that. And I do have to agree with assessment of the Cavs’ resident dancing egomaniac (the shorter one, not the one that looks like Refrigerator Perry.)
Oh, and George … I just finished reading your tweet: “Section filled with Bucks fans is chanting New York Knicks! New York Knicks. My guess: they missed here LBJ wants to win and NY is 6-15.” Wanna bet that if Fred Astaire was presently on the Knicks with that exact same Knicks roster, they’d now be 15-6, not 6-15? Cut the silliness, George.
I have been a fan since the GREAT Nat Thurmond days, I love my Wine @ Gold and still watch them whenever I can from Georgia. But LeBron’s dancing against the Bulls was a JOKE! How embarrassing, let him gooooooooooooooooo to New York with the other animals.
And damn, here I thought you quit reading. See ya, Alan.
You thunk wrong, George.
Oh, and apparently Bill Livingston reads me, George. Or somebody did a cut-and-paste and sent it to him. Because the guy wrote a column about the Cavaliers’ resident dancing jerk by absconding my “b*tch” info, but more importantly, he ripped off my Fred Astaire reference. And it’s not the first time he’s stolen my stuff. The next time you see Julius Erving’s wrinkled old groupie, give him a kick in the nads for me.
LET THE GUY ENJOY HIS JOB.
