Report: Cavs Close to Signing Parker

by George Thomas on July 8, 2009

in Uncategorized

From former colleague Brian Windhorst – the Cavs are on the verge of signing free agent wingman Anthony Parker from the Toronto Raptors.

The move adds depth on the bench.  Although Parker started for the Toronto Raptors at shooting guard, he probably won’t start in place of Delonte West.

Parker averaged 10.7 points, four rebounds and 3.4 assists while playing 33 minutes per game for Toronto last season.   His defense is solid and he can shoot from the perimeter.

I think this will help the cavs a lot because it makes our bench that much deeper and if we sign him for like half the MLE it would be good and we could possibly get another back up PF for depth or just sign Joe Smith.

CAVS JUST SIGNED ANDERSON.

Am I the only guy who remembers Lucious Harris?

I remember Lucious Harris. I went to Cal State Long while he was there along with Byron Russell. Played with both of them in games. Both had long NBA careers!
