Edgar Jones was an incredible dunker, had missing front teeth, a funny goatee, a fun attitude, and was a self-promoting hilarious quote machine. The Cavaliers got him from San Antonio in late 1984 for the great Jeff Cook and cash.

Who is Edgar Jones??? Dude, you must be under 20. Anybody who does not look at Edgar Jones grinning and immediately get a big smile themselves is simply not human.

Nah, doc, length of time on a roster doesn’t equate to rightfully having a jersey hung from the rafters. Spend enough time on a franchise roster, and eventually you’re going to break some type of team record. I’ve seen games in almost all of the other arenas and I look up, and for the most part, their numbers actually belong up there. But Ilgauskas’ uniform hanging from the rafters? I’d rather see a scoreboard-sized high-definition photo of a grinning Edgar Jones. At least that’s something people will never fail to smile at.

J.J. has fallen so low you renamed him J.J. Jackson. Anyway, I am thrilled Darnell Jackson is finally getting some minutes. He is a very hard worker, knows his role, and has an NBA ready body. J.J. is not ready yet. He has some of the worst hands I’ve seen in the NBA dropping passes, rebounds, etc. Plus, he lacks focus. Hopefully all of that will change in time but right now DJ deserves the minutes over JJ.
