Whittling Things Down: Two Cuts Made

by George Thomas on October 8, 2008

in Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA, cuts, pro basketball

The Cavaliers reduced their roster to 17 today by releasing center Lance Allred whose tenure with the team began with a 10-day contract last season and releasing guard Michael Dickerson.

The team excused Dickerson, who was trying to return to the league after a five-year absence, to tend to some personal matters on Oct. 1 and he hasn’t been able to return. He plans to resume his comeback when that is resolved.

Hi George,

Glad to have you posting!
Hey not certain what happened to the type face and point size on this post but (at least on my computer screen) it is hard to read.

Keep up the useful posts.

Don’t change a thing, George.

larry, do you wear telescopic bifocals, or what? And, if so, where can I buy a pair? Or six?

By the way, it’s a damn shame Lance Allred was cut. The Cavs’ token deaf guy. At least Allred had a valid excuse whenever Brown would scream during practice, “Stand around and do absolutely nothing while LeBron does whatever LeBron does!!!”

Windhorst said Ferry almost traded Allred for Amare Stoudamire this summer but the deal fell apart at the last minute.

Hey thanks for the adjustment. Now it is “huge” :-) I can stand back 8 feet and read it.

The type and size from your very first blog post is great. Whatever,
Thanks for being so willing to work with us.

Looking forward to your posts.
