July 16th, 2008 at 7:30 am
Does anyone know how the best beat writer for the Cavs is doing? I haven’t seen nor heard any updates on the guy. we miis heim dearly and hope is okay and recovering well. The ABJ would be doing it’s readers a tremendous favor if they’d give the fans an update. Hey Patrick M, why not clue us in?
Not much coverage of the team in this offseason without him. Have a great recovery Brian and we’ll keep you in our prayers.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:56 am
Hey, I saw a post a few days on here that said he was doing alot better. But it said healing is going. The post disappeared and responses to it also. Not certain why. Nothing seemed negative.
Lets just keep him in prayers.
July 16th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
Yay! Brian’s getting better!
July 17th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
Don’t you get it! Brian Windhorst is SPIDER-MAN. Nobody’s seen Windhorst in over a month. That’s because he’s been masquerading as that web-headed weasel! Spiderman disappears? So does Windhorst. Spiderman shows up? Windhorst is suddenly back on the beat. Watch and see!
July 21st, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Jameson - That’s so beyond stupid that I don’t even know what to say. You are not a funny person, so stop.
July 21st, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Mark my words!!
July 22nd, 2008 at 8:18 am
We saw Brian Sunday. He is doing much better - off all machines, able to eat and communicate well - out of ICU. He still has a way to go, but is condition is much improved.
July 22nd, 2008 at 6:49 pm

July 30th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Brian:
I hope that you are on the mend and recovering well. There are a ton of people out here who miss you and your work. I wrote you once a couple of years back to say that you were unquestionably the top Cavs beat writer. Nothing has changed. You’re simply the best and we all miss you. Please get well soon. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
August 7th, 2008 at 6:29 pm

August 13th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
Glad you’re back to reporting for us Brian, I hope Mo Williams was enough of a get well soon gift!
August 13th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Bri,
Great job breaking Mo Williams trade, but get some rest. On a side note … it’s good to read that you’ve been released from the hospital and can get some rest at home. I hate to see anything bad happen to a good guy.
August 13th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Welcome Back Brian! Its great to see your name under an Article on Ohio.com again.
August 13th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
Glad to hear you are @ home, maybe this trade will help brighten your day too! Your are in my prayers for a full recovery!! Get well, we true Cavs fans, NEED YOU!!
August 13th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Welcome Back, Brian. I hope Alan Tucker has reformed while you were getting better.
August 13th, 2008 at 7:57 pm

August 13th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
welcome back man!
love it that you come back to break the mo williams story.
i am really, really glad you are okay, and back to breaking CAVS news.
August 13th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
Some of you may have already seen this, but it’s good news so spread it around, right?
Brian has a new article up at http://www.ohio.com/sports/cavs about the Mo Williams trade.
Also on TrueHoop Henry mentioned that Brian did the report on the way home from the hospital:
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-33-173/Mo-Williams-Will-Run-With-LeBron-James.html
August 14th, 2008 at 2:02 am
I’m very happy the prescription I wrote for Allegra-D mixed with matzoh ball soup worked.
August 14th, 2008 at 7:09 am
According to TrueHoop, he spent 55 days in the hospital and dictated las night/today’s trade story from a cab on the way back to the hospital - now that’s dedication. Great to have him back, hope he doesn’t push it too much. Get well slowly, Brian, we need you for the long run.
August 14th, 2008 at 8:53 am
Welcome back Brian! It’s been a boring summer without your posts or articles. It’s pretty amazing that you scooped all of your colleagues on the Cavs beat while riding in a car back from the hospital. Henry Abbott of TrueHoop has done a great job of letting fans know how you’re doing. Feel better!
August 14th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
WELCOME BACK! Great to see your name on bylines last night and today!
August 25th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
Brian: Please you or your reps give us a wink. We miss you.
October 6th, 2008 at 8:18 am
I have seen Brian writing in the Beacon now and also heard him on the radio. Is this blog dead now or will it become active again? Would be nice if the Beacon would journal would let us know, so don’t have to keep checking every day. Tells you how much I like reading his blog. He writes great stuff!
