If Soulja Boy is an LBJ fan, why can’t everyone get along?

Soulja Boy

Thanks to reader blog reader Phil who sent me this photo, which is actually on Soulja Boy’s web site. He lives in D.C. and plans to have it on a poster when he goes to Game 3 tomorrow at the Verizon Center. Anyway, you just have to love this whole LeBron/Jay-Z/DeShawn Stevenson/Soulja Boy stuff. It’s all just wild junk but great fodder for us journalists and fans. First off, LeBron likes Soulja Boy and dances to his hit song. And, whether it is just fashion or fandom, Soulja Boy seems like he likes and respects LeBron a little. Even if he told Branson Wright from the Plain Dealer that LeBron disrespected him. Blah, blah, blah. Yes, but a large part of my business and your interest is, indeed, blah, blah, blah.

Sorry, but it did not show my comment the first two times I tried it.

I had terrible luck getting my comments to post when I was a regular in 2005-2006. I guess some things never change!

This is exactly the kind of relevant, informative reporting which we need. I mean, what isn’t more pertinent to basketball than Soulja Boy?

thecrowning April 23, 2008 at 8:43 pm

dude, calm down, this is his “blog”, he can write whatever he wants here. He is not here “reporting” so to speak, you know…..jeez.

This whole thing has extended Soulja Boy’s career by months!

Why does it take McManamon having fun with his revived blog to cajole Windy to start having fun with his blog again? It’s gotta be a couple of years since there’s been a photo here, back from the Brian’s rental car was underhandedly towed by some bastard at a Mexican chain restaurant in Sacramento era. When McManamon inevitably loses his marbles and posts some beaver shots from Swank and Hustler, perhaps Windy will run with it and this blog will be on a roll again.

alan T. windy rarely ‘has fun’ with his blog because he’s an actual journalist. Mcmanamon ‘has fun’ with his because he sucks at life.

I hit the Cav’s playoff lottery for the right to buy 2 tickets for game 3. Unfortunately, I can’t go, so whoever wants tickets, help yourself.

I am glad the league didn’t suspend Haywood. He is more likely to make a dumb foul at a critical moment, meltdown, than have a big game.

I think that was a far more pleasant experience for James than Reggie Evans’ walnuts grab during the first-round of the playoffs two years ago.

LarryD – I disagree. Z absolutely dominates the Wizards when Haywood isn’t in there. He might be their most important player when you realize that without him, the Wizards must double team Z of all people, and then LeBron just has a field day.

LeCavalier April 24, 2008 at 3:10 pm

I hope you’re right JKing. Keep in mind Z’s fg% is 44% on the road and 51% at the Q. On the road (word to Kerouac) those long jumpers don’t fall for Z.

Anyone who gets on BW’s nuts about this blog has no grounds to do so. He covers the hell out of his beat and does Daily Dime stuff. Most writers would kill to have the savvy this guy has. Go read Branson Wright’s dribble if you have a problem. And for the guy who keeps complaining after games that there isn’t an update…SHUT UP! Blogs are the last priority for a reporter. He’s on deadline for the ABJ and has to file an ESPN story before he even thinks about touching the blog. It’s just how it is. Appreciate the stuff he writes before you get your panties in a bunch about the blog.

This Soulja Boy stuff is such garbage. Who cares? Someone said it extended his career a few weeks. WHAT CAREER???

Maybe I’m not very “hip”, but is this guy a cartoon character or a musician?

How about this basketball game tonight? I’m goin Cavs by 6…
