DeShawn Stevenson: LeBron is overrated

Posted March 13th, 2008 by Brian Windhorst

Wizards 101, Cavs 99

–Cavs lost this game in the third quarter when they allowed 70 percent shooting and 34 points. Let’s get that out of the way first. The Cavs do not play evenly on defense and recently they have had huge periods where they get lazy. I am not sure exactly where the blame goes here, but they will continue to have losses until they learn that lesson. They are not good enough on offense to give up 30-point quarters, especially on the road.
–As for LeBron James deciding to go for a 3-pointer on the last shot. No, it wasn’t the best idea, especially waiting until the buzzer so there could be not chance at an offensive rebound. But there’s no doubt he was tired after playing 46 minutes last night and almost 44 tonight. The Cavs had expended so much energy trying to catch up. He said after the game he didn’t want to play overtime, I don’t blame him. He tried to be a hero and he missed. In other circumstances it may be an issue. But he didn’t even go to the basket in the fourth quarter much, which I think had to do with fatigue, too. He had seven turnovers, also something you don’t see from him much. That didn’t decide the game.
–DeShawn Stevenson did do a good job in the fourth quarter guarding LeBron. In fact, the Wizards did a nice job pressuring him on pick-and-rolls and not letting him get a head of steam to the basket in the second half. But Stevenson took personally. He missed the final shot in Cleveland when the Cavs beat Washington last month and he was trying to atone. He was carrying on with LeBron and Damon Jones all night. In the first half, Damon made a 3-pointer and waved his hand in front of his face to mock what Stevenson does when he makes 3s. Stevenson didn’t like that and in the second half when he made a couple 3s he looked over at Damon and mocked his “three on a platter” and how Damon sometimes slaps his butt when he hits shots. Damon just stood up and glared at him.
–But the stuff with LeBron was more personal. He told Michael Lee of the Washington Post after the game that LeBron was talking trash to him and that he wanted to get under LeBron’s skin. Then he said: “LeBron is overrated” and made sure the quote was attributed to him. When LeBron is tired after playing 90 minutes in 24 hours, he isn’t the same player, I agree. Stevenson did a good job in the fourth, so props to him. Yet poking one of the best players in the league just isn’t a good idea. LeBron has proven to be tough on people who challenge him. Especially considering Stevenson shot 19 percent in the playoff series with the Cavs last season. Too bad the Cavs don’t play the Wizards again this year, it would be interesting to see LeBron’s response.
–Ben Wallace played much better tonight. The time off did wonders and he was a real factor defensively down the stretch defending the basket. He was much more active overall. That is a major positive the Cavs can take out of this game. If he plays like that more often, he’ll be valuable in the playoffs.
–Wally Szczerbiak played just 12 minutes tonight and went 2-of-9. Last night he played lots of minutes but didn’t get many shots and it looked like he was getting frozen out a bit. I think the fact that he takes so many shots gets on some of his teammates nerves, especially since he’s making less than 30 percent of them right now. If Sasha Pavlovic gets some traction, and tonight he played pretty well, Wally might force some hard choices with playing time if he doesn’t heat up.
–Anderson Varejao had 10 rebounds in the first half, two in the second. He got tired, too. When one team is on a back-to-back and the other isn’t, it makes a difference. Still, third quarter cost the game.
–32 3-pointers attempted tonight, way too many. Again, I think a product of a tired LeBron and not having Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

Pregame

Starting lineups

Cavs: Delonte West, Sasha Pavlovic, LeBron James, Ben Wallace, Anderson Varejao
Wizards: Antonio Daniels, DeShawn Stevenson, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, Brendan Haywood

Officials
Scott Foster, James Capers, Eric Lewis

–Ben Wallace is in uniform and it looks like he’s going to give it a try. Keep an eye on how he jumps, his lift has been affected by the back spasms. If he struggles early, the Mike Brown may sit him down.
–Brown is sticking with Sasha in the starting lineup, we’ll see if he gets any more rhythm tonight. It is expected for it to take him several games, but I still wonder if he came back too soon. I guess we’ll see.
–Caron Butler is back after missing 16 games with a hip injury and tonight is his birthday. He could be a difference maker. Though, I expect him to be rusty as well. There are few tougher players in the league than this guy.
–The Cavs signed Lance Allred to a 10-day contract. He is a big man who played at Weber State. He’s a good rebounder and has some range, but he’s an insurance policy with Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Wallace hurting more than anything. He is active tonight, though.
–The Wizards love to score and run, we’ll see if the Cavs feel like play defense tonight. It’s anyone’s guess.

Halftime — Cavs 54, Wizards 46

–The Cavs got hot from the field at the end of the half, which helped them get separation. But the real difference was their defense. After allowing the Wizards to shoot 55 percent in the first quarter the Cavs held them to 8-of-24 in the second. Mostly because they were pretty physical around the basket. The referees seem to be letting lots go and the Cavs have been taking advantage.
–Caron Butler isn’t showing much rust, but he is taking a lot of shots. He is such a tough cover, the Cavs had Wally Szczerbiak on him for a few minutes in the second quarter and that just didn’t work. We’ll see how LeBron does on him down the stretch.
–Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao are all much improved from their last games. Ben looks to be moving much better, although Jamison is a tough cover. Varejao has 10 rebounds already and his really throwing his weight around the basket. Sasha just had his best half of the season, but remember he is a streaky outside shooter.
–The Cavs one issue is they have been heavy on 3-point shooting, going 8-of-14. That is a great number and and four guys have made 3s, but if they do it too much they will get in trouble. They have just nine assists on 20 baskets, which shows a bit of 1-on-1 play.
–I am not sure why LeBron and DeShawn Stevenson have been talking trash. Stevenson really has no grounds to say anything on any level to LeBron. But they have had several exchanges and LeBron has been animated about it, especially during one timeout at the end of the first quarter. In the past, jawing with LeBron has not worked out for the other party. I wasn’t aware of any issue between these two.
–The crowd here is really, really into this game. There have been playoff crowds here not as active as this crowd, it has been a surprise to me.

Varejao (other than one game) has been absolutely atrocious since his return. Stands around on defense. Terrible rotations. Still flops but doesn’t get half as many calls. Seems to think he can shoot now.

Lebron. Anyone else notice that he isn’t the bull in a china shop charging into the lane anymore? He has a way of avoiding charges by twisting and knifing his body through contact, almost like Ginobili. Almost as amazing as the way he finishes with his left hand….

Dracula seems to have gotten a glass of blood before the game. Love that flat-footed three pointer form a la Magic Johnson in the that first All-Star game when he had AIDS.

  2. Rahul Says:

hey brian, what’s going on between deshawn and lebron tonight? i caught them jawing at eachother right before the tip. it looked like lebron sent sasha over to guard caron and he decided he was gonna hound deshawn all game. lebron seemed to be pressing a bit in the first, and made a few bad passes.

i wasn’t sure there was something going on till the end of the first when lebron missed that layup. deshawn stopped and kept jawing, benton was in front of lebron, but he kept saying something back. i don’t know why marvelous hasn’t mentioned it, but it seemed a little more lively than normal nba trash talk. give us an update on this…

  3. JoeHoops (President, AlanTuckerFanClub.com) Says:

Ben Wallace is horrible. Anytime he gets a pass under the basket, he fumbles the ball over to the other team. He could have a lot of easy layups if he could just catch the friggin ball!!

  4. BB Says:

It appears Count Pavlovic has learned to use his powers of darkness for basketball. Blood isn’t the only thing he’s draining tonight.

i’m gonna take a wild stab at why there might be stevenson-lebron beef. you think deshawn is sticking up for his boy gooden? thinking maybe lebron had him sent packing? just a guess, but i couldn’t imagine why he would want to say anything to lebron. that’s just plain dumb.

  9. Rahul Says:

just a wild guess, but you think the stevenson-lebron beef is gooden related? maybe stevenson is sticking up for his boy, thinking lebron had something to do with the trade. i don’t even know why it would matter so much to stevenson, but i can’t imagine why anybody would try to talk trash with lebron. unless he stole deshawn’s girl or something in another life…

  10. JBJB Says:

What an ugly 4th quarter. We deserve to loose ,we are absolutely terrible.

  11. Joe M Says:

Hey Brian, is Sasha’s dad at this game? Was he at the last game?

Also why are Andy and Ben Wallace on the floor and Joe Smith is on the bench right now (4th quarter, 4:00 left)!? Give me a break!

  12. jice Says:

What in the heck was that lebron?

  13. JBJB Says:

Did M. Brown draw that last play up, what a beauty? The Cavs play like they simply don’t give a shit, why drive to the hole and look for a good shot, lets play for the win an go home either way. That makes recent bad loses to the Bulls, Nets, Wizards, and we would have lost to the Knicks if not for LJ’s 50.

  14. Rahul Says:

haha, mike brown didn’t write that up. lebron just wanted to J on stevenson and eyeball him.

  15. Biff Says:

I wasn’t able to watch most of the game tonight. I was finally able to tune in late in the 4th just as the Cavs got down 5. D-Jones promptly sticks a 3 followed by Washington blowing a free throw and what do we do to take advantage?

We have a 31% 3-point shooter take a deep 3 while falling toward the sideline. Shockingly, it doesn’t go in and the game is over. Two thoughts and then I don’t want to think about the Cavs for a while:

    1. If Mike Brown called for that play, he should be fired.

    2. If Lebron called for that play and Brown said ok, we are eventually going to have to get a coach that either has the stones to be in charge or the reputation to make Lebron defer.

As it is now, the Cavs are a one man novelty act. It’s just disgusting. The Cavs and I could be headed for a trial separation.

  16. MJ Says:

Fans are idiots. The Cavs were on the second night of a back-to-back and the last thing they wanted to do what go into OT on the road….especially with LeBron playing 46 minutes the previous night in NJ and 43 tonight. LeBron was tired….you could see it from the beginning of the game. What is the better option now…..playing 5 additional minutes on the road with a tired team or taking a 3-pointer for the win? If the game goes into OT, we lose.

Sure blame LeBron. But most of you probably aren’t athletes and don’t realize the energy spent in back-to-back games.

  17. Arjun Says:

    DeShawn Stevenson - G.O.A.T. Killer

  18. mq Says:

You know, what we see with fatigued Lebron now will be normal Lebron in five years when his speed and explosiveness start to go a bit. He better work on those post moves!

  19. alan t. Says:

Somebody call the doctor, I’ve got a bad case of Lance Allred fever.

  20. Chuck Says:

Anyone know why there was a free throw on a a foul away from the ball just under four minutes into the game. There was a shot by Butler, the basket counted, and Jameson shoots a free throw. It was too early in the quarter to be in the penalty…

  21. thecrowning Says:

Its funny. SheShawn Stevenson can’t keep things on the court. That’s so highschool girlesque. Well, whatever works for them Wiz.

  22. Tom Says:

I hope LeBron reminded Stevenson that he shot 19% in the playoffs last year from the field in 122 minutes of action.

  23. mike Says:

With Ben and Andy out there at the same time so late in the 4th, it was impossible for LeBron to get inside the paint - Washington was double-teaming him at the 3 point line. Tonight’s game underscores how different a team the Cavs are without Z - he changes how they play completely.

Nice to see Sasha get going. Wally continues to struggle. Delonte West bounced back a bit from last night.

  24. urahutia Says:

Wow, another ugly one. Been following the sport for the past 40 years. Maybe I am a little naive, but never seen a team so poorly coached. Mike Brown had better grow some gonads and get tough with these guys or turn in his resignation. We have a superstar in LeBron, who appears to run wild and do what he likes. Brown really needs to harness this guy and create some offensive support for him. Andy looked terrible, Wally should not be shooting the ball, Joe Smith seemed out of place, Sasha had a decent night. There is never any consistency with this bunch…which again leads back to coaching. We need to bring back Lenny from retirement.

  25. Eric Says:

Stevenson is calling someone overrated? That’s funny. I wonder if he’s still raping drunk 14 year olds in hotel rooms? Deshawn Stevenson is ghetto trash par excellence.

  26. funky me Says:

bad case of lance allred fever:) i truly hope this guy is worth the pickup and not just another body on the bench, hell anyone will be better then dwayne jones, why is that guy still on this team.

  27. Ray Says:

My issue was the last shot was the total lack of any kind of play. Could someone have set a pick? On the previously play LeBron drew a double team and Damon Jones knocked down the shot. Would it have been possible to run another play in the final seven seconds as opposed to just having LeBron dribble a mile away from the basket and then jack a long, contested 3-pointer?

  28. Mike C Says:

Notes on the Cavs loss to the Wizards:

    - If you’re going to hop off the bandwagon after two close road losses, no one is going to stop you. I’m just glad you’re keeping everything in perspective. Anybody who has watched the team in the last three years knows that Mike Brown’s offense leaves something to be desired, and they know that LeBron’s shot selection is questionable when he’s tired. They know that the team always loses when it takes too many jump shots. So what’s with the Chicken Little act when it happens now?

    - The Cavs are running into a unique problem lately. While the Cavs are trying to get healthy and get the new players on the same page, their opponents (and their fans) are licking their chops, ready to take a chunk out of LeBron on the road. The Wizards are a .500 team, and they’re jawing with the Cavs? The Nets did the same thing last night, as Vince Carter decided it was one of his 5 games a year where he gives a damn. It was the same way in New York and Chicago last week, guys on losing teams trying to look hard at home while the Cavs play back-to-back road games. The Cavs have to recognize this and do some loin-girding when they head into hostile arenas for the rest of the season.

    - I have no problem with LeBron taking that shot. It’s actually not too bad on the risk-reward meter, and it looked good when it left his hand. He won’t do that in a playoff game, but on the second night of a road back-to-back, he gave the team a chance to get out of Dodge with a win.

    - Besides, by then I had no faith in the officials at all. The offensive foul on LeBron with 19 seconds left was an absolute joke.

    - It is so hard to win on the road without an interior post presence. All of those Z-haters take notice. Even with LeBron playing at an incredible level, the Cavs struggle to win when they have no reliable way to score inside or prevent opponents from scoring inside. It’s the same reason that the Bulls, the Nets, and the Wizards struggle for consistency despite the fact that they have excellent perimeter players. Wallace, Varejao and Smith combined for 19 points on 6-17 shooting, and that’s with Wallace going 3-3. Meanwhile Haywood and Darius Songalia combined for 29 points on 13-17 shooting. That’s two nights in a row where mediocre big men massacred the Cavs inside.

    - 9 shots in 13 minutes for Wally. He has no conscience.

    Go Cavs.

    Mike C.

  29. Corporate Whore Says:

Great point Ray. It was just a one on one let me dot your eye…or not…play by James. Terrible. And Biff is right, if that play was called by Brown, then Brown’s an idiot. Howeverm if that play was called by james (more likely) then James made a stupid mistake and Brown is still culkpable for not being enough of a coach to reign James in. Just a dumb play. The play before to Jones actually worked. Why not try it again? I realize the conventional wisdom in basketball is to go for the win on the road, but last night, with that um play, wasn’t the right thing to do. Oh well. We need Z to return in a huge way so James can put away the 3 pointer.

  30. Corporate Whore Says:

I cannot spell today. My apologies.

  31. JoeHoops (President, AlanTuckerFanClub.com) Says:

    We need Z back.

    We need Boobie back.

We need Andy and Ben coming off the bench.

Lebron needs to quit jacking up so many 3’s.

We need Erin Andrews doing our sideline reporting.

  32. Ray Says:

I’m not jumping off the bandwagon. And yes, Mike Brown’s offense (it seems especially in the end game) leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t haven ever cared what they ran or who they ran it for, just do something as opposed to standing around and then jacking a long 3-pointer.

This team obviously needs to get healthy. Sasha looked good last night, and if Gibson and Z can get back on the court, that’ll help a lot. Andy and Ben kill the offense when they are in the game together.

  33. rickyshade Says:

Brian, Mike Brown has to be blamed for these slow third quarters, he’s the coach. His comment after the game went something like, I don’t know why were coming out in the third quarter not focused? Are you kidding me? Even if you feel this way, don’t tell the media you moron. No clue.

  34. John Bagley Says:

Listen, all that matters right now is keeping the 4 spot and getting healthy. # of wins is irrelevant to anything but their playoff slot. When this team gets its full roster back, we’ll be fine. Right now missing Z and Gibson is huge.

    But seriously, LeBron is overrated.

  36. amber Says:

Lebron and the CAVS just arent the same team. lebron is going downhill. it is real sad to see. He is in fact OVERRATED

  37. Brian A. Says:

Mental focus is the difference between good and bad defense for this team. I know they were tired but Coach didn’t help with in game adjustments, Wally didn’t help with rushed shots.
On national tv Sasha Pavlovic carried the team offense and defense he was only 90 percent and he still gets minimal respect. Given he was reaching too much and fouled out I expect that being 2 games removed from injury. Alan’s good with goofy nicknames i”m not jumping on sorry…
LeBron isn’t overrated but his ego is overstroked that’s why he takes those bad shots. I could see if he only did it once but I see bad shots from him at least once a game. The 7 to’s weren’t pretty either.

  38. Corporate Whore Says:

So, Lebron is overrated after one bad game? Look, morons, something shiny! Come back with that stupidity after he gives us at least a month of poor games or preferably a year. It was a bad game. Get over it.

Brian A., all superstars have inflated egos. And all great scorers take bad shots at times. You just have to live with that. I really think that when some semblance of inside scoring comes back (i.e. Z), James will stop taking so many threes. It’s maddening that he is shooting the worst of his career, yet he’s taking the most. The turnovers were pretty bad last night, too. Like I said, it was a bad game.

  39. jams Says:

Larry hughes does not miss not playing with Lebron, Gooden does not miss not playing with Lebron. Maybe this whole “Lebron makes his teammates better” thing is coming off the tracks. Maybe the supporting casts are tired of not getting any credit when things go well and getting all the “Lebron gets no help” when things turn south. Maybe the other players in the league are picking up on those vibe and in turn are saying “Lebron ain’t sh*t”. Maybe if you guys gave some love to the other guys making all those spot up threes, players like D stephenson would not be as pissed off playing Lebron.

  40. larry d. Says:

Fatigue from back to back games is no excuse for the last shot. If a team jockeying for home court has a chance to win a road game, they’ve got to take it.

The Cavs are in disarray and probably will be up until the playoffs with players returning from injuries, etc. They need Big Z, but they’ve played this poorly with him in there, too.

Speaking of Z, since when are jump shots from the elbow considered ‘inside scoring?’ And who are all these Z haters I keep reading about? Anyone who doesn’t think 13 pts. and 8 boards is top-five center, jersey from the rafters, one of the best offensive rebounders of all time, all-star, world’s most passionate kisser material?

I’ve seen really bad fans … but u guys r just incredible !! after all what lebron has given to Cleveland, putting them on his shoulders and winning the Eastern Conference, doing incredible things for this team … and after one bad game, i say one bad choice, u call him overrated and u start to crticize him ?! and here were talking about LeBron James, the one who brought back Cleveland, because without him this team is worse than Miami … You don’t support anyone at all… u think people are machines, they have to win every single game. Damn, for gods sake think of what ur saying before saying it!! LeBron IS cleveland, he IS the best player in the league, and he is NOT overrated.. so for those people who r saying that he is after one bad choice, I say to you its a shame there are people like u watching basketball !

Anybody who writes, “We need our “franchise” center so we can again have a guy out there who can be a 10-foot to 13-foot threat to “open up” things” is either reaching in a major way, is the guy’s campaign manager, or is on ludes. Very possibly all three. I thought that’s what Joe Smith was supposed to do. Seriously, if that’s the vital piece presently missing from the puzzle, a nice little 10 to 13-foot shot, doesn’t Rasho Nesterovic have a free agent brother out there somewhere?

Wow, the honeymoon is over already? That was way too quick, ladies. Tradus interruptus.

Wizards fan here. Just finished reading the Washington Post Wizards blog. Lots of Cavaliers fans posting there, so I thought I’d return the favor.

Overall, I think the comments on this blog are thoughtful and reasoned.. (sometimes they’re not on the WaPo blog)..

Mike C. your quote “The offensive foul on LeBron with 19 seconds left was an absolute joke.”

Mike C. - I enjoyed your post overall, but if you go back and look at the replay again, you’ll see that LeBron’s shoulder hit Stevenson squarely in the sternum. And don’t give me the “he has to be stationary” argument - because according to the rules, that does not apply to the man guarding the offensive player, only to help defenders. Stevenson beat LeBron to the spot, and he’s entitled to that position on the floor, even if he is moving.

I also agree with your assessment of the final shot. You got LeBron James on your team, and you want someone else to take that final shot? If I’m the coach, I want LeBron. Second game of a back-to-back. On the Road. Tired. Just got called for a charge. Blew, what, 4 lay-ups during the game? I can understand the logic of his 3-point attempt.

I know that I thought the shot was good when it left his hand, and being a Wiz fan, was getting ready to be devistated.

Cleveland looked tired last night - and obviously you guys (along with Wizards Fans), know about injuries, and trying to get production from bench players.

Anyway… drop by the Wiz blog some time for lively discussion.

Live well. We’ll see you in the playoffs.

    1. the wizards are underrated. a little. they’re still not getting out of the first round. but it’s not like we lost to the sonics or something.
    2. mike brown is not a good coach period, exclamation point, and if you disagree, i’ll fight you.
    3. BW, this game was not lost in the 3rd. it was lost in the 4th when we scored 4 points in the first 7 or 8 minutes. we had wally, bron, delonte, joe smiff, and sasha - probably the most offensively potent rotation we had out there all night - and we scored 2 baskets in 8 minutes.
    4. we’re still a soft team. there’s no way we’re getting past boston in a 7 game series. they’re too good defensively, the p.j. brown and cassell pickups give them depth and experience, and they’re mentally tough. we’re not.
    5. wally is doing a very nice job of filling the atrocious-jumpshooting void left by larry hughes, which is very commendable considering they were such big shoes to fill.

the great charles barkley said, the last play was a stupid play.

  49. Josh Says:

Let’s take a walk down memory lane shall we? Last year, the sky was falling (along with Larry’s shooting %), the Cavs had rough patches in the schedule (usually on the road and back to back), and the Cavs lost some games to some inferior competition (puds like Chicago, Charlotte, and NY). How’d that turn out? The best player in the NBA CARRIED us to the NBA Finals. Greatest season in Cavaliers history.

    Now…

You can continue to be reactionary, irrational, misguided, emotional, idiotic, and at the end of the day, the worst type of sports fan… *OR* you could keep a little bit of perspective and quit bashing the greatest athlete to ever don a “Cleveland” jersey. Hard to tell if it’s the same people this year because all of you use such ‘witty’ names for your posts, but I’m willing to bet that you’re the same doubting Thomases who were on Topix and Windy’s blog last year with gems like “Lebron cant do it all himself” or “the Cavs cant possibly beat New Jersey” or “Mike Brown is an idiot whether he wins 50 games a season or not”… I mean, you might as well go live in Philly and throw snowballs at Santa.

Get a clue, Cleveland fan. These are the good ol days, right now!! Take a freaking deep breath and enjoy.

  50. Josh Says:

P.S. - There isn’t ONE team in the Eastern Conference right now who wants any part of the Cavs in a 7 game playoff series… not even Boston or Detroit. Ask Boston fans who scares them in the postseason, ask Detroit fans if they think last year could happen again. And we STILL havent played a game this season with all 12 of our regulars healthy and available. Think about that…

… and if Lebron isnt the MVP, do away with the award all together.

  51. rickyshade Says:

I’m just glad Sasha was sitting, after going 5-5 in the first half, while Devin and Wally kept throwing up bricks. Smart coaching.

  52. James Dalton Says:

If someone like Stevenson gets in Lebron’s face and calls him a c#*@%er, I want Lebron to be nice. Ask him to walk. Be nice. If he won’t walk, Lebron should walk him.

But be nice. If he can’t walk him, one of his teammates will help him and they’ll both be nice.

I want the Cavs to remember that it’s a job. It’s nothing personal.

  53. Terry Pluto's Hair Says:

I can think of approximately 4,182 reasons NOT to have a 31% 3-point shooter taking a shot like that at the end of a game.

These guys are supposed to be the best basketball players in the world, coached by some of the best basketball minds in the world. There’s absolutely no excuse for that type of breakdown, whether it’s Lebron’s fault or Bill Duke’s.

And one more thing: complaining about these errors doesn’t make me (or anyone else on this board) less of a Cavs fan.

I’m not jumping off the bandwagon. But I’m sure as hell going to speak up when the person driving it makes a wrong turn and then veers into oncoming traffic.

Here is my REPORT CARD for the new guys…as of 3/14/2008…

Ben Wallace: D+ (he’s not the same Ben we saw in Detroit and the guy must feel guilty for being the highest paid player on the team).

Wally: D+ (isn’t he shooting like 30%???? and averaging about 4 ppg less than when he was in Seattle?)

West: C (he’s had some good games, but otherwise average)

Joe Smith: B (atleast he’s been consistent)

ANd for those of you complaining that Lebron is an ego maniac…come on, people, wake up. Any ELITE level athlete has to think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. These guys have huge ego’s because it is required to play at that level. Same with in the business world…show me a super successful business man who doesn’t have a huge ego? You won’t find one. If you have any friends who are very passive in life and not very confident, I can pretty much guarantee you they are poor and un-successful. Lebron is the extreme opposite of that and that is why he is making millions.
