The Wizards game marked his first back-to-back games scoring in double figures since early December. In his last two games, he averaged 11.5 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds and was shooting 56.3 percent from the field (9 of 16) and 40 percent from behind the arc (2 of 5).
“That (stinks),” Cavs center Zydrunas Ilgauskas said. “He was playing so much better. He had been struggling with his confidence a little bit.”
Cavs coach Mike Brown said Pavlovic was “playing great basketball.
“He’s starting to do those intangible things on the floor. That excites me about Sasha.”
In the previous two games, Pavlovic started out defending Miami’s Dwyane Wade and Washington’s Caron Butler. Wade will be a starting guard on the Eastern Conference All-Star team, and Butler could be added as a reserve.

Boy if the Cavs would have nabbed Luis Scola last summer, like they were reportedly planning to do, or traded for a draft pick for Big Baby, trading Gooden for a shooter would be a no brainer.

I hope Sasha being out of the lineup doesn’t throw things off. I know he hasn’t been playing well, but the team has really gelled with this starting lineup and the other guys coming off the bench. Hopefully this doesn’t screw up our momentum!

it is so funny that sasha had his best game since his hold out, and now he is out for 2 weeks. the funny thing about it, is that people are actually going to say that we will miss him. heck i say give shannon a chance, but potato head will give the mins to damon jones and e snow before he admit that he was wrong about shannon. No, Mike, if Gooden can be traded for a good PG, they will do it in a second. They have to. Yes, having great front court depth is very important, but so is having one competent shooting guard. If Gooden can get you that, you do it.

Danny Gibson has been told that he’s going to be in the 3pt, and Rookie/Soph games over the allstar break, but hasn’t formally committed to both yet. If his health is good at decision time, he will do both. That’s from a Cleveland television station last night, but can’t remember which one it was I heard it on.
