First of all, I don't go to Kent State or Cleveland State or any of those crapola "schools"--I go to Lehigh University!

And you can only get away with being a Damon Jones-type if you are black or can shoot 3-pointers (white). I'm not black, and I stopped playing basketball in high school.

I don't understand the Sopranos reference because I don't watch the Sopranos.

Gah!

Alan:

Shouldn't Blurrz write "don't crap where you eat, and don't crap where I eat" from Sunday's Sopranos?

The glass is half-full, not half-empty. More practical philosophy you can use.

Besides, Damon Jones is living proof that you don't need to graduate, let alone have a 2.0 average. Let Damon be your guiding light.

You see? There is more practical philosophy learned here in one blog session than learned in any college semester at Kent State or Cleveland State or at any of those crapola "schools." Plus, you get invaluable Lithuanian romance tips to help you out with the ladies. What more can you ask from a blog?

I wish there was grade inflation! Oh well. At least I have a job, so that softens the blow somewhat.

With the grade inflation infesting schools these days, I was under the impression 4.0 is average. I think professors lose tenure by giving a kid anything less than an "A" in philosophy. Isn't watching "Cold Pizza" considered extra credit? Or maybe scribble "Don't sh*t where you eat" on the bottom of the next paper. It's intellectual, and it's also practical philosophy you can actually use. According to the front page of the Akron Beacon Journal, it's also what Z said when he got down on his kneecaps to propose to Jennifer. Seriously.

I know Alan, and I'm sorry.

My wife has been begging me to write something positive on one of the blogs, and I thought a quick dip into the mainstream could help me with my problem.

I promise to stop when I feel an urge to watch Cold Pizza.

I just got a B+ on my Philosophy paper, thus ending the possibility of a 4.0 for my last semester in college.

Dick Vitale? Mike and Mike in the Morning? ESPN.com? Larry, have we lost you to the almighty Disney Gods? This is exactly how the Stepford Wives got started. Resist the force. I compel you. You can do it!

That was a very good article on espn.com, Brian. It's easy to forget how amazing LeBron has been these last few years and it now seems impossible to set the bar too high, as far as expectations go.

Dick Vitale said on Mike and Mike this morning that, twelve years from now, LeBron will be considered the best to ever play the game. I'm beginning to agree with the great hyperbolist; over the past month or two, LeBron's played as well as anyone I've seen, including Jordan.
