The Browns' leading tackler, linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, was listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at Buffalo.

Leon Williams waived

The Browns waived linebacker Leon Williams, a fourth-round pick in 2006 out of the University of Miami. Williams played in 46 games and started 12 in his three-year career, with nine starts in 2007. He was inactive for Sunday's opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Browns coach Eric Mangini announced the result of the team vote for captains Thursday.

Browns sign back from practice squad

Allen Patrick, an undrafted rookie running back from Oklahoma, was signed to the Browns' active roster. The Browns already have three running backs in Jamal Lewis, Jerome Harrison and Jason Wright, but Harrison left Sunday's game against the Titans with a rib injury.
