Browns take a beating on Showtime

NFL analysts Warren Sapp and Phil Simms were not kind to the Browns on this week's "Inside the NFL" on Showtime Wednesday night.

Derek Anderson to start Sunday against Cincinnati

Browns first-year head coach Eric Mangini announced at his Wednesday morning press conference that Derek Anderson will start over Brady Quinn Sunday against division-foe Cincinnati.
Mangini said that he doesn't think the Browns struggling offense is all Quinn's fault, but he feels that Anderson gives the offense a better shot at scoring right now.

QB decision coming Wednesday

Browns coach Eric Mangini said he would announce Wednesday whether he'll start Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson in Sunday's home game against Cincinnati.
Mangini lifted Quinn at halftime of the Browns' 34-3 loss Sunday at Baltimore. Cleveland trailed 20-0 when Anderson took over and he threw three interceptions to Quinn's one.

Backup quarterback Derek Anderson has entered the game with 12:35 left in the third quarter at Baltimore and the Browns trailing 20-0.
Starter Brady Quinn was not injured in the first half.
On his fifth play, Anderson's third-down pass for Mike Furrey was picked off by Brendon Ayanbadejo.

Mangini dismisses QB sabotage talk

BEREA: Eric Mangini says his Cleveland Browns quarterbacks are competing, not cheating.
The radio transmitter inside Anderson's helmet wasn't working in a Sunday scrimmage, so he used hand signals to relay plays. Anderson joked after the scrimmage that Quinn told the defense what all the signals meant.

Cleveland Browns Head Coach Eric Mangini was non-committal about reports concerning Donte Stallworth's meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the possibility that he was seeking reinstatement by the league.

Quinn out rest of season

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, quarterback Brady Quinn will miss the rest of the season due to a broken right index finger he suffered Nov. 17 at Buffalo.
Quinn elected to play Sunday against Houston, which reportedly caused the injury to worsen.
