I don't think that just because we lost Leigh Bodden we need to replace him. If you guys recall Leigh Bodden of '07 wasn't the Leigh Bodden of '06. I heard he wanted more money too, but that is probably just a rumor. I thought he was horrible last year and was screaming at the T.V. for Romeo to take him out of the game. I also agree with Josh, I like Macdonald and I think Wright could turn out to be pretty good.

Wow, that was quite a rant there, Mike... now go sit down and catch your breath.

The Browns arent drafting based on combine numbers anymore, which is wonderful. Courtney Brown was a combine freak, if you recall. These two guys are football players, guys who stand out on film and love to play the game. The Browns need 53 of those kind of guys, and they're getting close.

All this hype about the corners is so stupid. Any time a team drafts an "athlete" type player, they either play WR or cornerback. They can be found on the waiver wire, in the undrafted pool, or even across the line in the WR corps. Enough about the secondary. If it isnt good enough, Savage will find a guy. There are plenty of them.

All that said, I kinda like the young talent we have there. That Mcdonald kid can play, and Eric Wright should have been a 1st rounder last year. Like the roster this year... a lot.

Mike who? All Browns fans already know K2 was the son of "former Hall of Famer in San Diego" and we all like to forget Phipps, our 1st rd bust! McDonald only played because Sipe left for the NJ Generals that year. We followed it with Gary Danialson who went down with injury making way for Kosar! 1951-52 ? Go back and look up the entire 40s-50s we where the best team in football before the Superbowl and YES we did go UNDEFEATED before Miami.....

Mike S.

If you're going to comment on the Browns, at least do a little research. There's a site called "Google". It allows you to search for information <-- (that's probably a big word for you, so you can go to dictionary.com and look up the definition).

Suffice it to say that Martin Rucker is not the son of Reggie Rucker.

And Mike S. lay off the moonshine and hippy lettuce (or whatever else it is you are partaking down in Weirton). And quit chasing your 1st cousin, too. She's off limits !

It sounds as if this staph may be MERSA and very difficult to kill, as it is resistant to all but two anti-biotics. Anyone know exactly what it is?

I think this a nepotism draft for the Browns. Tucker, the TE is probably Reggie Ruckers son and a friend of Kellin Winslow, SR., formerly the hall of fame TE from San Diego.

Beau Bell is the son of former wide out with Pittsburgh Steelers from the late '70's and early '80's. I am skeptical about this selection. He is from UNLV - not a pro-football factory. Name one player from UNLV in pro-football, ever beside Mr. Winslow, Sr.

I was looking at a 1976 pro football yearbook, this morning. It showed some interesting statistics / records. Did you know the Cleveland Browns only lost one regular season game in 1951 through 1953, losing to the LA Rams and Detroit Lions in the NFL Championship game, on the last playoff game. Of course, they only played 12 games, then. The games ment more, then - regular season. Also, Mike Phipps in 1975 had 4 TD's and 19 Ints on a 3-11 team. The report said Phipps was developing, slowly??? QB of the Browns since - 1972, 2nd game and hadn't developed, as of 1975 - 4th season. I have to revise my earlier blog. Phipps is the Browns worst QB, then McDonald - 1984, and then Frye - late 2006-2007. Brian Sipe was the starter most of 1976, finishing with a 9-5 record, third in their tough division that year - 17 TD's and 14 Ints. An injury to Sipe slowed progress in 1977 - a 6 - 8, team. Remember, Dr. David Mays, Cleveland's only black QB before Spergeon Wynn, who could throw it about 75 - 80 yards.
