Yates latest to re-sign

March 18, 2010

The Browns re-signed offensive lineman and unrestricted free agent Billy Yates Thursday.
Yates joined the Browns as a free agent on Sept. 16, 2009. He spent his rookie season in Miami (2003) followed by five years in New England (2004-08).
With the Browns last year, Yates appeared in seven contests as a reserve. In 32 career games , he owns 11 starts.

In rather ho-hum news, the Browns re-signed tight end Greg Estandia and defensive back Ray Ventrone.
