Yates latest to re-sign

March 18, 2010

The Browns re-signed offensive lineman and unrestricted free agent Billy Yates Thursday.
Yates joined the Browns as a free agent on Sept. 16, 2009. He spent his rookie season in Miami (2003) followed by five years in New England (2004-08).
With the Browns last year, Yates appeared in seven contests as a reserve. In 32 career games , he owns 11 starts.

Two more Browns additions; Estandia and Ventrone re-signed

The Browns made more moves Tuesday, but nothing as attention-worthy as they have the past week.
In rather ho-hum news, the Browns re-signed tight end Greg Estandia and defensive back Ray Ventrone.
The 6-foot-8, 266-pound Estandia, acquired via waivers from Jacksonville in September, played in four games for the  Browns with four receptions for 45 yards.

Developing: Browns reportedly trade Wimbley to Raiders

Lacking a receiving threat at tight end after last year's trade of Kellen Winslow, the Browns signed six-year veteran Benjamin Watson from the New England Patriots Friday morning.
