Browns rookie receiver Carlton Mitchell's 4-year deal worth just more than $1.9 million

The Browns signed rookie receiver Carlton Mitchell to a four-year deal worth $1,903,450, a league source told the Beacon Journal Friday.

The Browns drafted the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Mitchell, pictured above, in the sixth round (177th overall). He started 18 games at the University of South Florida, where he compiled 105 career receptions for 1,648 yards and nine touchdowns.

Last week, rookie defensive lineman Clifton Geathers, the Browns' second pick of the sixth round (186th overall), signed a four-year deal worth a total base salary of $1.79 million, according to the NFL Players Association.

The Browns' other six 2010 draft picks — cornerback Joe Haden, safety T.J. Ward, running back Montario Hardesty, quarterback Colt McCoy, offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao and safety Larry Asante — have yet to sign contracts.
