Browns, rookie offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao agree to terms

Rookie offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao, a third round (92nd overall) draft pick, has agreed to the terms of a four-year deal with the Browns Thursday and will likely sign his contract before the end of the day, his agent, Mark Humenik, told the Beacon Journal via e-mail.

Humenik said the deal includes a signing bonus of $697,000.

Lauvao, who finished his career at Arizona State University with 33 consecutive starts, is expected to compete for a starting job on the right side of the Browns' offensive line. He can play either guard or tackle, but he's likely to vie with veteran Floyd Womack for a starting spot at right guard.
