Ben Watson competed against Randy Moss and Wes Welker for Tom Brady's attention. Evan Moore competed against a bunch of nameless nobodies for the attention of a noodle armed quarterback who can't get the ball to wide receivers anyway.

EVAN MOORE better be in our lineup SOMEWHERE!! My lord, the guy was a catching-machine when he finally was placed into action! Just shows ya how atrocious Mangini's talent evaluation was...keeping Moore on the practice squad til Dec. 5, and only playing Jerome Harrison the last four games or so. Isn't coaching all about RECOGNIZING TALENT?

Far as I can see, Moore has much more upside than our new $6-million man. Sheesh, what a waste of money on a position that appeared solid. Aren't there plenty of other positions to fill, like getting some dang NFL-level wide receivers??!!

I thought that Heiden was a pretty good tight end. Isn't he around anymore?

Let me get this straight.

Watson caught 29 passes for 404 yards last season. With Tom Brady throwing the ball.

Evan Moore, projecting his 5-game production over 16 games, would have caught 38 passes for 505 yards.

Are the fans victims of Browns' flimflammery once again? I feel bad for Evan Moore. Poor guy. They bring in a player who is not as productive to replace him.

Why am I not surprised? When will the madness stop?

'Bout time. Mangina thought (mistakenly, as usual) that the Browns could exist without a TE who could catch the ball. Thought we just needed a blocker. What delusional world does this guy live in? QBs need every conceivable offensive weapon they can get (especially ours), and that was evident when Moore finally stepped in the last few games and became the "go-to" guy.

Finally, Holmgren brings some common sense to the table, ridding the team of the idiotic QB competitions and lack of key players. Carry on, Mike. And keep Mangeenie out of the room. You're doing just fine.
