Report: Fargas visiting

Thus far in free agency, the Browns have not addressed finding a running back to compliment Jerome Harrison. But according to profootballtalk.com, KHTK radio in Sacramento reported Wednesday that former Raiders running back Justin Fargas was visiting the Browns.

The Browns confirm "official" visits after 4 p.m. each afternoon, but said there were none Wednesday. That could mean that Fargas is staying over until Thursday.

A third-round pick in the 2003 draft out of USC, Fargas was cut Saturday, with the Raiders saying he failed a physical. Fargas was due a $1.7 million roster bonus on Monday.

Fargas, 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, visited Kansas City, but the Chiefs elected to sign ex-Jet Thomas Jones.

In 2009, Fargas rushed for 491 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and three touchdowns as he shared time with Michael Bush (589 yards) and Darren McFadden (357 yards). Fargas had led the Raiders in rushing the three previous seasons, including a career-high 1,009 yards and four touchdowns in 2007.
