Report: Browns may be looking to move Quinn

A day after releasing Derek Anderson, the Browns may not be done dealing quarterbacks.

Citing league sources, Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Browns have offered to trade Brady Quinn.

Not only are the Browns looking into trading Quinn, but they also are investigating other quarterback options as well.

Schefter said another quarterback could be acquired via the draft, a trade or through free agency.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer reports that the Browns gave Seattle a seventh-round pick in the 2011 draft for quarterback Seneca Wallace. It could rise to a sixth-round pick based on Wallace's playing time.

    Trading Quinn?! Thank god!

  2. Larry says:

I believe a trade would be good for the Browns and good for Brady Quinn. I still think that his only chance to become a decent NFL quarterback is to be gone from Cleveland. He needs a fresh start and so do the Brown. Maybe he could find new life in Kansas City with Charlie Weiss as his coordinator.

  3. Patrice Mcgough says:

I don't think Brady got a fair shake at all in Cleveland. I wish him all the best. He will kick ass for someone else & Cleveland will wish they still had him!

  4. Mitch says:

I hope that's true, Patrice, but I was a diehard Brady Quinn fan…..and even *I* finally had to admit last season that he just didn't have the tools to lead a team anywhere.

Now, surround him with oodles of talent, and it might be a different story. But there were too many 60-yard games. Holmgren, himself, was astonished that the team won the last 4 games, because it was in spite of the QB play, not because of it.
