Cornerback John Bowie, a fourth-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2007 out of the University of Cincinnati, has been signed by the Browns, according to the National Football Post.
A native of Columbus who played at Northland High School, Bowie fills the roster spot of receiver Donte' Stallworth, whose contract was terminated Monday.
Bowie, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, has played in five games and totalled just two tackles over two seasons. He received an injury settlement and was waived by the Raiders on Nov. 24.
