He's making $5.8 million *plus* his incentive pay for this season. To work 16 meaningful days in a 365-day calendar year for performance that doesn't warrant anything close to that kind of pay. Why in the world does he deserve any kudos for being a "professional?"

Hypothetically, if Lewis had been cut prior to receiving his $3.5 million roster bonus in March, I wonder just how "professional" he'd now be in relation to what he has to say about the Cleveland Browns. I sense he'd be perceived by the very same Northeast Ohio sports media as being a lot less than "professional." Just a guess.

Also, why hasn't anybody pointed out the fact that one of these two goofs, in their meeting with Lerner, actually tried to get himself hired by the Browns as their new marketing maven. Is that the very definition of chutzpah, or what?

Finally, who writes the headlines for these blog posts? Is it really a "boycott?" What kind of "boycott" entails folks still buying and paying full price for the product they purportedly are "boycotting?"

I think I'm going to boycott that McDonald's franchise at the corner. Instead of paying full price for the Big Mac at 1:00 PM, I think I'm going to pay full price for the Big Mac at 1:05 PM. That will teach them not to cheat me on the quality of the pickle slices.

and the fans don't like lewis. i'm tired of hearing what a professional he is and how terrible it is that he said he's going to retire after this year. even if he is a consummate teammate, his tippy toes 2 yard per run does nothing to excite the fan base. let the fans boycott if they want, this team certainly has given us nothing except increased anticipation of the cavs this year. and if jamal is that unhappy about it, he can go back to brokering drug deals for his friends.

There hasn't been good football in Cleveland since the 1980's.
No football? Who cares?

Cavs. Many college games. Many restaurants who don't charge $6.00 for a beer. Golf. Church. Plenty of things to do on a Sunday… other than pouring our money into the cesspool that is the collection of dollar-grubbing mercenaries known as the Cleveland Browns.

Give us a good product. Give us a guarantee. Charge us $100 per ticket, and establish a sliding scale that refunds a portion of that $100 for games which are lost. Team goes 8-8? Refund $50. Team goes 1-15? Refund is $93.75. Team goes 16-0? No refund.

When I attend a movie, I know that I'll be entertained and receive good value for my money. What better reason could there be to reallocate our entertainment spend???

Oh, You mean like when Cleveland got the shaft from the NFL and Modell from 96-98. Been there, done that idiot. And no Jamal, I'm not going to enjoy and take advantage of this team fumbling, dropping balls, missing tackles, throwing interceptions, making excuses, not blocking, drafting subpar players, picking up and trading for over the hill Jets that Rex Ryan doesn't want. Win some games, then fans will stop b@%^&**$!!!!! Besides just because there is a game going on doesn't mean we should be happy to watch a crappy game.

As for the protest, who cares. If you want to do it, then do it. If not, go in a sit down.

Yea this protest is silly. What is it going to accomplish anyways except further the embarrassment Cleveland already suffers nationally. Dawg Pound Mike is an attention freak who absolutely does not represent Browns fans as a whole. He must be stopped. PLEASE ESPN DO NOT PROMOTE THIS THING ANYMORE.
