This is not how to get point across to owner of the team. What good does it do to sit out the opening kick off? You still paid good money for your ticket. You will still buy food and soft drinks. You will still be putting money in the owners pocket. You want to make a statement?
Don't go to the game period. It won't be long before any owner would have to do something when his fans aren't spending money. The game probably won't be a sell out anyway. So you won't get your point across to a national audience. Plus what if Cribbs returns a kick for a touchdown? It will probably be the only score the Browns get.

I agree with this. When discussing ways to get heard earlier this year, this was one of the suggestions made. I would remain out for an entire quarter -- not just the kick-off. Silence can be deafening. This team has lost a generation of fans -- due to persistent mismanagement, incompetence and Modell's sucker-punch. That team, remember, won a Superbowl a few short years after leaving this city -- using many of the same players that played in Municipal Stadium wearing the orange and brown. True, ownership had to change to make it happen -- but isn't that what happened here? I don't want to hear about "processes" and how much we are "respected" as fans. Neither is true. This coaching staff does not have the ability to dig out of the hole it has dug itself into. Mangini is far too anal and misses the larger picture while focusing on minutia. I do not trust his decision-making with 11 or more draft choices. This team has lost the respect of the fans, the Division, the league and media -- all deservedly so.
