The Browns waived linebacker Leon Williams, a fourth-round pick in 2006 out of the University of Miami. Williams played in 46 games and started 12 in his three-year career, with nine starts in 2007. He was inactive for Sunday's opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

His departure leaves four remaining players from the 2006 draft. They are linebackers Kamerion Wimbley and D'Qwell Jackson, fullback Lawrence Vickers and running back Jerome Harrison. All but Harrison are starters.
