SI's King has plenty to say about Browns

Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King was in attendance at the Brown-White scrimmage on Sunday and had a few thoughts in this week's Monday Morning Quarterback.

He's not too impressed.

The Browns, however, were the first team I've been around this summer that I just didn't get a good vibe from. The players are still feeling out Eric Mangini, and more than a few think he's working them too hard.

Well, the Browns were 4-12 last year, fired the coach and GM, and need a new sheriff. That's what Mangini is trying to be.

Previously, King ranked the Browns as the worst team in football during the spring. Apparently this angered Braylon Edwards. To wit, King responded with:

A team goes 4-12, changes coaches, doesn't have a clear-cut quarterback, doesn't have a pass-rush … and the Browns should be what? Fifteenth? Twentieth?

Fair point.

King also sad head coach Eric Mangini had a bad bout of stomach flu while he interviewed with owner Randy Lerner.
