Blackouts coming this year?

I don't want to steal his thunder, so make sure to check out Steve Doerschuk's Canton Repository story.

He raises some issues about season ticket sales.

blackouts would be a good thing. it's like taking meth away from an addict. watching the browns is no good for anyone's mental or physical health.

    Dan -

Did you read the quote from the actual article????

“Based on where we’re at right now,” President Mike Keenan told The Repository, “we don’t expect that to be any issue whatsoever.”

He didnt leave any room for a scenario where a blackout would occur…once the season ticket phase ends, single game tickets go on sale and the public buys them…THEN if there is a late-season game with a few extra tickets available, the local CBS or FOX affiliate buys them to ensure the game goes on the air…THIS IS HOW IT WORKS!

This is not a story that has any "thunder" to steal. This is not a real story. Its crazy how his headline "Browns hope to avoid TV blackouts" begat your tabloid-ish headline of "Blackouts coming this year?"

If its a slow Browns news day…just dont report anything…this was rediculous.
