Preseason schedule announced

The Browns will take on the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears in the preseason for the sixth consecutive year.
The NFL released its 2009 preseason schedule Monday, although specific dates were not given.

McDonald's play rewarded

Browns second-year cornerback Brandon McDonald received the fifth-highest performance bonus from a league fund last season, according to figures released by the NFL Tuesday.

McCreight lands in Arizona

Former Browns director of player personnel T.J. McCreight has been hired by the Arizona Cardinals as director of pro personnel.
McCreight was let go by the Browns in January after spending four seasons in Cleveland, two as assistant director of player personnel. He worked for the Baltimore Ravens from 1997-2004.

PFT: Browns sign cornerback Ivy

According to one of Pro Football Talk's league sources, the Browns have signed Ravens cornerback Corey Ivy to a one-year deal.
Ivy would be the second cornerback the team has signed following the signing of Hank Poteat.
A nine-year veteran, the Browns will be Ivy's fifth team.

Chicago Bears free agent offensive lineman John St. Clair is visiting the Browns Monday, his agent Ben Dogra confirmed.
