What they're saying today

Akron Beacon Journal (Patrick McManamon): Team's total collapse spells doom for season

Akron Beacon Journal (Marla Ridenour): Cribbs breaks through for Browns

Baltimore Sun (Mike Preston): With Flacco and Rice, futures market already bringing return

Baltimore Sun (David Steele): Pep talk from Lewis provides big lift

Columbus Dispatch (Bob Hunter): Browns don't seem to get what 3-5 means

Examiner.com (Andrew Calafato): The culture of mediocrity, your 2008 Cleveland Browns

Plain Dealer (Mary Kay Cabot): Teammates try to shrug off Edwards' fourth-quarter drop

Plain Dealer (Terry Pluto): Browns have made it clear: This is not their year

What I'm saying today:
This was a tough one. In the third quarter, it seemed there was no way the Browns would lose. And they did.

It's weird how your opinion can swing so drastically from a win to a loss. The only problem is, the Browns are getting to a point where even if they win, the hope doesn't grow. But if they continue to lose, your opinion does get more and more sour.

Can the Browns go on some kind of winning streak? Yes, because at times the offense looks electric. But the problem now, at 3-5, the team might be too far out of it to bother.

Fortunately, there is another game on Thursday against the Broncos. I'll be live blogging again, so make sure to stop by.
