Tucker, Adams sit, Winslow active

Browns tight end Kellen Winslow, who missed Monday night's victory over the New York Giants with an undisclosed illness, was active for Sunday's game at Washington.

Winslow's condition landed him in the Cleveland Clinic for three nights; he was released last Sunday.

Also returning to the lineup was strong safety Sean Jones, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 11. His presence was timely because nickel back Mike Adams, who had been starting for Jones, was inactive with a hamstring injury suffered late last week.

Also inactive for Cleveland were right tackle Ryan Tucker (sore knee), defensive end Shaun Smith (hand surgery), tight end Martin Rucker, linebacker Beau Bell, offensive lineman Scott Young and defensive back Hamza Abdullah.

For the Redskins, starting Pro Bowl cornerback Shawn Springs was inactive after reaggravating a calf injury in practice. He was replaced by Fred Smoot.

Also missing for Washington were running back Ladell Betts (knee) and offensive linemen Jason Fabini and Chad Rinehart and defensive ends Erasmus James and Rob Jackson. Jon Jansen started at right tackle in place of Stephon Heyer.
