Alan, the guy expected his starting seat to be warm, and when the team made it clear that he wasnt being grandfathered (a term you can relate to) a job, he didnt like it.

Again, the Browns werent in a hurry to cut the guy, I'm sure. Former All-Pro linemen dont fall off trees. Of course, much like the Cavs situation, you probably think the Browns' front office is filled with fools.

You're such a clown, Alan.

Oh, come on. "Responded defiantly?" The guy was cut. Plain and simple.

And the franchise didn't "stick by him." The prudent thing was done, which was wait to see if they could mitigate the large initial signing bonus costs. Turned out they took one look at him and perceived him to be post-injury toast, so they cut their losses and cut the guy.

Um, he demanded a spot on the roster and a starting position upon passing the physical, and when told he would have to work his way back onto the roster, responded defiantly. Can you say chip on his shoulder?

Hard to believe that this guy, who collected 16 million dollars from a franchise that stuck by him while he battled a serious injury, would have anything to complain about. Pretty disgusting, actually.

The Browns arent stupid. They wouldnt give up on a former Pro Bowler like Bentley unless he made the situation untenable. I think this one's on LeCharles. Sad story all the way around, really.
