There He Blows Again

Bill Clinton blew his stack on Fox News Sunday and he's still in the news.  The boss of Chris Wallace, Roger Ailes, is pleased.

"I would have paid him 100 grand to help us with
marketing, just to get a half-hour of his time," Ailes said by phone
Thursday. "As it turned out, I got a half-hour of his time and he did
it for nothing. We're very grateful. … He's kept us in the news for
six days."

Wallace's "nice little conservative hit job" questions lead to stressful answers.  Clinton invaded Wallace's personal space in a manner that he insists is legal.  Had he been as aggressive with bin Laden, well… Here is a transcript of the exchange.  You decide.

The ABC docudrama, Path to 9/11, caused protests from Clinton administration members over inaccuracies.  CBS canceled a similar smear job called The Reagans in 2003 after Republican complaints.

Clinton national security adviser, Sandy Berger, was especially miffed over a scene that shows him slamming down the phone when being asked for permission to whack bin Laden.  He says it never happened.  The scene was removed.

Berger was last seen in real life stuffing his pants with secret documents at the National Archive.

Moussaoui's new home sounds like a life worse than death.  23 hours a day alone in his cell.  One hour of excercise, alone.

How long before he demands a transfer to Gitmo?

I got this idea from an editorial in a Jordanian newspaper, Shihane, which also reprinted the Dreaded Danish cartoons.  The editorial said, "Muslims of the world, be reasonable… what brings more prejudice against Islam, these caricatures or pictures of a hostage-taker slashing the throat of his victim in front of the cameras or a suicide bomber who blows himself up during a wedding ceremony in Amman?"

The editor, Jihad Momani, was fired and arrested.

My wife was the first person to look at this and say, "Nice picture. I don't get it". Now that I look at it, I'm not sure I do either.

I was intrigued by Osama's latest piece of audio taped performance art which included  truce offers, threats, and book reviews. It was an impressive comeback for a guy I thought was dead.

Sitting next to him in the drawing, is Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri, the "second in command" target of a CIA missile last week. I figured most people would recognize him as bin Laden's side-kick.

We heard from Zawahiri last in a letter to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq. In the letter, he politely asked Zarqowi, The Be-header, to lighten up on blowing fellow Muslims to smithereens and, by the way, please send some money.  So far, Zarqowi appears to have ignored both requests.

I completely complicated things by alluding to General McAuliffe's Battle of the Bulge reply of, "Nuts," when the Germans asked him to surrender.

Bet you're glad I didn't mention Zorro.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has managed to offend just about everyone on the planet including Osama bin Laden. He caused anti-al Qaeda demonstrations in Jordan by mass-murdering Muslims there. The Evil One's second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, had already reprimanded Zarqawi for this sort of behavior in a lengthy intercepted letter.

Sending a husband and wife team to blow up a wedding party in Amman also had unexpected consequences. His went off, hers didn't. He's now fooling around with however many virgins this sort of transaction entitles him, while she is a liberated woman here on earth.

Give Zarqawi credit. By causing the Jordan demonstrations he trashed Zawahiri's  claim that, "The Muslim masses-for many reasons, and this is not the place to discuss it-do not rally except against an outside occupying enemy, especially if the enemy is firstly Jewish, and secondly American. "…
