ABC, Beazer Homes, and 1800 volunteers provided the Harper family with a new McMansion on the show Extreme Makeover. They even included a fund for maintenance and taxes. Did I mention they also kicked in scholarships for the kids?

The grateful brood did what any redblooded American family would do - they took out a $450,000 mortgage, secured by the gift house, and defaulted.
