Weather

Winters in Northeast Ohio where I live are usually brisk. I often build a hockey rink in my backyard. My kids are too old to use it much but I still enjoy standing in the cold late at night with a wet hose in my frozen hand. I've been denied my peculiar pleasure the past 2 years because Ohio now enjoys a Mediterranean climate.
I'm sure my brother-in-law, the biologist, would tell me it's because of man-made global warming. Maybe it is but I haven't heard from him. He lives out West. Maybe he'll drop us a line, if his avalanche transponder has email capability.

Sorry I haven’t checked in for a while. I fled to the Caribbean to escape the freezing cold weather we are having here in the west. “Freezing cold weather”, you say, “that should put all this nonsense about global warming to rest. Wait a minute! What about my melted ice rink? Now I’m really confused.”
This global warming thing can be a tough one to grasp ‘eh Chip. Let’s have a few martinis and discuss it some night.
