The bipartisan Iraq
Study Group plans to recommend withdrawing nearly all U.S. combat units
from Iraq by early 2008 while leaving behind troops to train, advise

i think "cut and run", "cut and jog" and all other policy by catch phrase devices were put to bed on nov. 7th. next.
It's incredible the amount of time that has been wasted parsing the terms "civil war" and "cut and run" as if that changes one effin' thing on the ground. Cut and run is a pretty attractive alternative compared to "stuck like a shipwreck".
I don't know, Mencken. I've been calling the war a "coup d'etat" for a few weeks now and I'm feeling much better about things. My wife prefers "coupe de ville."
Calling it a coup d'etat would require that someone was actually in charge of Iraq after Saddam.
Perhaps you were more likely thinking about a "coup de' grace".
I'll stick with "FUBAR and tap dance".
Did anyone notice that in the alphabet at the top of the blackboard, there is no "w"? Perhaps a subtle way of saying that W has been missing in action for 6 years…
