Oh boy! More people paying into Social Security. Sorry Chip but that doesn't exactly give me great comfort. Population increases exponentially. Our ability to deal with the increase does not. I see more poverty, higher crime rates, more traffic congestion, less open space, a water supply crisis in the west, and the continued loss of fish and wildlife habitat (and thus species). Pessimistic? Maybe. Realistic is a better term. This planet is in a population crisis right now. If we don't get a handle on it sometime soon we will be dealing with more than quality of life issues.

Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."
