Had Issues, But Not Such a Bad Guy

The National Geographic Society kicked off Holy Week by releasing an ancient gnostic manuscript that says Jesus and Judas were best buds.

The manuscript dates nearly 2000 years before the birth of Katie Couric.  Scholars agree that she had nothing to do with it. That was just a cheap shot on my part.  But she  is emblematic of the redemptive powers of the media.

This one will be a tough sell.  The San Francisco Chronicle says, "It's going to take more than the translation of an old Coptic papyrus to
rehabilitate the image of Judas Iscariot. The archetypal villain known for betraying Jesus for 30 pieces of silver
holds a special place in the ninth circle of hell in Dante's "Inferno." He is
the one apostle who has salt spilled on the table in front of him, signifying
bad luck, in Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." He has inspired lyrics for
everyone from Bob Dylan to Iron Maiden."
