Often, atheists are portrayed as drooling fiends, either mentally disturbed or waging their own personal wars against an alleged divinity. Troubled, or, poor "souls", who, are really only troublemakers getting off by challenging the faithful majority (at least in the U.S.), or poking their rebellious finger in the eye of god for, you know, kicks.
