Channeling Janeane Garofalo doesn't make one sound very intelligent, though I do find it ironically humorous that you are stereotyping the entire Tea Party movement with your slander, which is exactly the behavior of a bigot. Nice job. I see you are about as self-aware as the Reverend.

It also seems borderline racist to use the charge of racism as a weapon whenever you disagree with folks. I'm not sure how, but Andrea has somehow come to terms with the bad habit.

Reverend, you don't seem to understand what the National Guard is or does. It may not be bribing bums for votes with cancer sticks, but it is national service.

The Connection by Stephen Hayes explores the TRUTH, just reading the preface you know you are reading a scholarly work, one that looks at the subject without the bias that we have come to know from the Lame Street Media.

1. On Oct 27, 2003 the Sec of Defense, Douglas Feith, issued a memo to the Senate Intelligence Community. This classified memo was leaked to Hayes, and contained in the opening paragraph this conclusion “ The substantial body of intelligence reporting- for over a decade-from variety of sources-reflects a pattern of Iraqi support for al Qaeda’s activities”.
2. Bin Laden was not the only foe, that threatened to kill Americans. Beginning with his defeat in the First Gulf War, Hussain insisted for more than a decade, that the conflict was only a temporary setback (would A. Hitler have stopped if he would have been thrown out of Poland in 1939 yet left in power in Germany?) in his continuing war against America. His threats were direct and terrifying.
Saddam, attempted to make good on those threats. In 1991 he sent intelligence throughout the world to strike at targets. In 1993, he sent a team to Kuwait to assassinate George HW Bush. And in 1998 he sent agents to blow up a US funded Radio station in Prague. While these attempts failed, it does not detract from the fact that Saddam Hussain was committed to terrorism against the USA.
3. 1992 Iraqi intelligence documents list Osama Bin Laden as an intelligence asset. Sources also cite a 1993 non-aggression pact between Iraq and Al Qaeda. In 1994 Bin Laden asked Iraq for arms and training. In 1995 Senior Al Qaeda leader, Abu Hajer al Iraqi met with Iraqi intelligence agents. In 1996, AQ sent representatives to Iraq to discuss WMD’s In 1997 the Justice department issued and indictment citing Iraqi assistance in AQ weapons development.. In 1998 a Clinton counter terrorism stated we were sure that Iraq and AQ were working together on weapons programs. In 1999, an Iraqi, working closely with the Iraqi embassy in Kuala Lumpur, was seen with Khalid al Mindhar, one of the 9/11 hijackers, for a meeting about the USS Cole bombing. 2000, satellite photos showed AQ members traveling en-mass to an Iraqi training camp and in 2002, Iraq harbored the chemist who mixed the explosives In the AQ 1993 attack on the world trade center. But as Richard Clarke (lied) said “That there is absolutely no evidence that Iraq supported Al Qaeda, ever.

4. In fact the same Lame Street Media who in 1999 reported intelligence sources had linked Hussain and Bin Laden, Newsweek, Jan 11 1999. In 1994, (that Conservative rag), USA Today, quoted Senior CIA terrorist analyst Dr. Stanley Bedlington, “We were convinced money from Iraq, was going to Bin Laden, who was then sending it to places Iraq wanted it to go. There is certainly no doubt Saddam Hussain had pretty strong ties to Bin Laden while he was in Sudan.” Colon Powell, in his Feb 3, 2003 report to the UN Security Counsel, reporting on Al Libi, Said that the chemical weapons labs in AG were not good enough, so AQ sought help from Iraq. And the Iraq offered Chemical and Bio weapons training to to AQ operatives, (so much for not having a chemical or bio program eh?) “ Terrorism has been a tool used by Saddam for decades. Saddam was a supporter of terrorism long before these terrorist networks had a name, and this support continues. The nexus of poisons and terror is new, the nexus of Iraq and terror is old. This combination is lethal.”

The author, Hayes makes it clear from the beginning, that there has yet to be evidence that Iraq helped in any direct way in the 9/11 attacks. But it is clear that if AQ wanted such help it would have been given without reservation.

The Connection is clear, Iraq was a nation which supported TERRORISM against the United States, and as part of the Bush Doctrine of preemptive action against terrorists and the NATIONS who support them the war in Iraq was justified. It is interesting ( actually sickening) at how the Lame Street Media, has worked so hard to discredit the same stories they so openly printed prior to and after the 9/11 attack. There is a template at work here and it does not reflect the truth.

It is understandable why George Tennet of the CIA and Richard Clarke would want to hide the truth, they were responsible for protecting this nation, and they dropped the ball, and thousands died, but selling books of lies, they should be prosecuted for treason

Liberals, progressives and communists require that history be changed to fit their template, the United States is an evil capitalist bigoted nation, and needs to get their comeuppance. 9/11 was such a comeuppance and as such deserved, and anything that gives the US the moral authority to attack and defeat its enemies must be hidden and changed. So we get those that deny the existence of terrorist connections with Iraq, those that deny Iraq had WMD’s and those that became 9/11 truthers denying that there was even an attack, all to justify their anti-bush, anti-american position.

I don’t know that anything can stop the evil of Islamic fundamentalism, I do know that giving into any demands they make will only lead to more demands, and more attacks, and that the “leadership” is the threat, and the only way to get at the leadership is to go on the offensive where terrorism is harbored, trained and not wait until some indoctrinated fool is in the air over our nation, or setting off a suicide bomb or worse.

But the TRVTH is out there, let it into your mind.

larry….what the National Guard was in the 1970's has nothing to do with what it was turned into by the Terror Twins in the 00's. Why do you think Poppy got him into the Guard? To avoid facing the "enemy" in Vietnam.

King…on the attempt to mock me over the underwear bomber guy story…..there are many unanswered questions. We'll probably never find out the truth. There are eyewitness accounts of an "older Indian man" speaking for underwear guy at the airport check in. There seemed to be a problem with underwear guy's having a passport or not.

What Americans need to know is the names of those who knew what, when, and where about the Nigerian. And then…what did they do or not do with what they knew. Then we would know whether it was allowed purposely.

Years ago I was in the home insulation buisness and although one does want to prevent drafts etc. a house MUST have the ability to breathe. A house that is too tight can result in mental and pyshical difficulties. I have noticed as the winter has progressed your rants have become shall we say more interesting. You might have a professional check your house and make sure you are receiving oxygen.
