Funny thing is there's no evidence Bush or Cheney committed any war crimes, Reverend. If there was, surely there'd be some charges out there now that Obama's approval numbers are almost as low as Cheney's.

The fact that you are comparing Bush to Hitler is the first problem. Hitler killed 6 million innocent Jews as but one of his many war crimes, and Bush used EIT's against a handful of terrorists (war criminals) following 9/11. Even you should be able to see the difference, no matter how many times you watch Meltdown With Keith Ubermoron.

Bush's lawyers, John Yoo among them, gave a legal opinion on whether or not the Enhanced Interrogation Techniques were legal. Those lawyers didn't carry out any torture, regardless of whether or not you agree with their legal opinions. That's all they did, and you would prosecute them for it. I wouldn't, and for all your prattling on about neocons and wingnuts, Obama agrees with me.

Fantasyland is a safe place for conservatives to live in. The wingnut amusement rides are fun, reality is escaped, and there's a funhouse there with those old-style distortion mirrors making everything seem like it's something other than what it is.

Everyone who reads here should re-read King's last comment. When the U.S. instituted a torture regime…was the U.S. standing in opposition to "evil in the world", or was America carrying out the "evil?" King confirms everything I said in the post about neo-cons. He, Newt, Sarah, Kristol and all the other fuzzy and cuddly neo-cons cheered Obama's neo-con, "America is exceptional", bullsh*t at Oslo.

Obama, to wingers, is a socialistic, undocumented sissy-boy who hates America and seeks America's demise with every action he takes…..unless what he says agrees with the Dick.

King's last two sentences are confirmation that he embraces the idea of an unaccountable, law-unto-themselves, American King and Court. On occasion, King will let this "American King" belief of his out of the bag. It's the same as the Nixon defense…."if the president does it, by definition, it can't be illegal."

Neo-cons have simply extended that presidential exclusion to all those who ever give "counsel" to the president. It's the Leona Helmsley school of thought…."laws are for the little people."

The Reverend can't even see that Al Qaeda represents evil in the world, or that America stands in opposition to that, which is what Obama was saying.

'Nuff said. I stand with Obama on this one, as should every other American and member of the free world.

It's pretty bizarre that the Reverend thinks lawyers should be prosecuted for giving legal advice as well. Imagine the implications of such a policy. Anytime a court ruled against an attorney, they could send the attorney to jail. Think that might have a deleterious effect on our system of justice ?

The reason why Obama brings up the previous administration is because the previous administration was the most disastrous in all of American history. He's left with the mess, and occasionally it is prudent to remind Americans how effed up the previous administration actually was. Wingers reject that analysis….but it's still true.

The reason Obama's poll numbers are now down to what an average president's numbers would be, say, like, Reagan in his first couple years…..is because liberals are discouraged with Obama's hesitancy to be anything other than moderate. Independents don't like his Af-Pak policy and want him to take on the big corporate interests…..which Obama has been timid about doing.

The Palin Republicans hated him from the beginning…..and the media loves Palin, Limbaugh, Cheney, Newt and Beckerhead…..so media coverage all year has been very disproportionate.

That's why Obama's numbers have leveled off. We're a divided country….1/2 live in reality, half live in fantasyland.
