I suppose the reason Tea Party-Party (now official !) members, FOX, and the usual wingnut suspects have become so energized over the Ft. Hood mass murder story is because they think this story is another way to smear, slander and weaken President Obama and bash those 'politically correct' liberals…..in order to patriotically strengthen the nation, I'm sure.
Immediately, wingers began blaming Obama for the Muslim shooter being in the Army….and resorted to unhinged accusations of political correctness to explain why the killing took place.
Here's material from the Washington Post piece that King linked to, mocked, and then, distorted beyond recognition in his most recent post about the Ft. Hood mass killer, Hasan…
Aulaqi (former Falls Church, VA, imam) responded to Hasan at least twice, according to Rep. Peter Hoekstra (Mich.), the ranking Republican on the House intelligence committee.
"For me, the number of times that this guy tried to reach out to the imam was significant," Hoekstra said. "Al-Qaeda and radical jihadists use the Internet to spread radical jihadism. . . . So how much of [Hasan's] lashing out is a result of . . . his access to radical messages on the Internet and the ability to interact?
"I believe that the responses from Aulaqi were maybe pretty innocent," Hoekstra continued. "But the very fact that he's sent e-mail . . . to this guy and got responses would be quite a concern to me."
The FBI determined that the e-mails did not warrant an investigation, according to the law enforcement official. Investigators said Hasan's e-mails were consistent with the topic of his academic research and involved some social chatter and religious discourse.
Hoekstra and others are raising questions about whether government agencies paid sufficient attention to warning signs about Hasan.
Hoekstra (R-MI) is a well-known nut, but even he said the imam's two e-mail responses to Hasan, "were maybe pretty innocent."
About the Falls Church mosque and it's former imam….
At Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, where Aulaqi was an imam, mosque leaders denounced his statements.
"This was a really disgraceful statement from a blog of our former short-lived Imam Aulaqi," the mosque's outreach director, Johari Abdul-Malik, said Monday. "Aulaqi wasn't angry like that when he was here with us. He changed after he left, after 9/11. He became a different imam."
King uses this misleading ABC line….
U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda,
…which King distorts into this…
According to ABC News, the FBI knew Nidal M. Hasan, the Fort Hood terrorist jihadist cuddly bunny had been trying to contact Al Qaeda several months ago
…and this…
I assume it's not standard operating procedure for a U.S. Army Major, a psychiatrist, to be trying to contact Al Qaeda, even if he is merely a cuddly bunny.
….but ABC said cuddly bunny was trying to contact "people" in Al Qaeda, as in, more than one.
Setting aside the "cuddly bunny" nonsense……King, like other knee jerk responders to the Ft. Hood tragedy, and like mainstream media who couldn't even get the basic facts correct in the first 24 hours of the breaking story, doesn't want to hear what the FBI or military says about Hasan.
There is no evidence that Hasan was trying to contact al-Qaeda. Hasan did contact his former Virginia mosque imam.
This is what King said about those e-mails….
The FBI said it never delved into cuddly bunny's communiques with Al-Awlaki because there was no indication that cuddly bunny was planning any violence.
Here's what the Post article said about those e-mails….'
Investigators said Hasan's e-mails were consistent with the topic of his academic research and involved some social chatter and religious discourse.
The word "delved", I suppose, can mean whatever King wants it to mean. I'm not sure how the FBI could have determined those e-mails were "consistent with..academic research…social chatter and religious discourse"….if, you know, they hadn't "delved" into those e-mails.
King….
Not only did the military and FBI fail to connect the dots here, but judging from the comments to my last post, liberals don't even want to admit there are any dots to connect (unlike the runup to 9/11). Even President Obama said we shouldn't leap to any conclusions…
Which seems to mean that King thinks, we SHOULD jump to conclusions.
I guess King intutitively knows more than the FBI, liberals bearing the unvarnished facts, and President Obama. He must. He went on to issue his own final verdict….
"cuddly bunny is a jihadist terrorist,"
Tell me the truth…. how can you argue with that?

You remain a fool, Fox News and their employees are about the only ones in this nation who are not afraid to pursue the truth. Everyone else has bought into the Marxist lies coming out of Washington hook line and sinker.
On the NY Post out of a law suit:
The paper's D.C. bureau chief stating that the publication's goal was to "destroy [President] Barack Obama."

Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post Newspaper is the target of some embarrassing and alarming allegations in a lawsuit filed by a fired employee, involving workplace sexual harassment, bigotry, discrimination and an alleged stated goal of the newspaper to “destroy” President Obama. The 38-page complaint was filed by former employee Sandra Guzman and she claims she was fired in retaliation, after publicly condemning a racist cartoon published in the paper depicting President Obama as a dead chimpanzee.
Guzman named Murdoch’s News Corporation, the New York Post and the paper’s editor in chief Col Allan in her lawsuit, which alleges harassment as well as “unlawful employment practices and retaliation.” She likened the New York Post newsroom to a frat house, where racism and misogynistic behavior prevailed.
Guzman’s complaint also states that “Charles Hurt, the Post’s Washington D.C. Bureau Chief told Guzman that the Murdoch owned Post’s “goal is to destroy Barack Obama. We don’t want him to succeed.”
Rupert Murdoch also owns Fox News, which Fox News’ Senior Vice President for Programming, Bill Shine recently admitted had the goal of being “the voice of opposition” to the Obama administration. Murdoch also stated in a recent interview that he agrees with Glenn Beck that President Obama is a racist.
The allegations in Guzman’s lawsuit, if true, paint Rupert Murdoch owned newspapers and media outlets, as having a set agenda to slant news coverage to bring down the Obama administration.
Um, what did I get wrong ? I didn't see one single thing.
Hasan IS a mass murdering religious jihadist. Those are the facts. Maybe you think he shouted 'Allah Akhbar' as he opened fire because he has Muslim Tourette's Syndrome or something, but the rest of us have our eyes open.
But your blog post title was correct. You are incapable of telling the truth.
Good links jimmy…
Murdoch, Limbaugh and Co. made it clear back in January. They not only want Obama to fail, and thus the nation, but they are also doing whatever they can do, including lying on a massive scale, to bring about that failure.
At the same time, these folks are still blind to the massive failures during the last eight years of Republican rule.
Jeff….I've been called worse….but please…..FOX telling the truth? You can't be serious.
Insanity rules again:
An indvidual goes on shooting spree at a US military base and the event devolves into an attack of Fox news and those that have a different perspective on the direction this country is being taken. Have we become so partisan that every situation is nothing more than an excuse to promote ones ideololgy and attack what we perceive as the "enemy". Have the facts become irrelevant in our struggle to prevail?
angryc, I'm still trying to figure out why Rev and company keep trying to defend a jihadist mass murderer like Hasan. I think the facts have become the enemy to them.
I'm not sure even the reverend would defend an Islamic radical's deadly attack on Americans a year and a half ago. This is where Obama's leadership is coming to fruition.
Labeling CIA agents liars, not allowing troops to fire on enemies and making them read enemies their rights, blaming our own country for Islamic radical attacks on our own military bases–can anyone imagine a better way to surreptitiously weaken the U.S. military?
No one here is defending an "islamic radical's deadly attack". Unlike the defense of Scott Roeder by conservatives.
Blaming Obama is a complete joke when they wont even allow Bush to take any responsibility for 9/11 . Just so happens this happened in Bush's loose gun law state. I personally feel we need to take information we have to watch over some. But wrong to stereotype them into groups too much and publicly talk about it . It is just bad for relations and stirs up hatred. The red flag should have been raised with Hasan because of his personal behaviour. But that was the job of those working closely with him.
When Rush said he wanted the Obama administration to fail, he was talking about them taking us farther down the road to a socialist nation, I for one agree, we have gone too far down that path, and this administration, with the health care travesty, cap and trade, and the ineffective and idiotic stimulus bill, are rushing headlong into the destruction of individual freedom and achievement, which are the hallmarks of communism.
If that is not the truth, prove me wrong, prove that Anita Dunn, does not support the mass murder Mao, that Van Jones, is not a Marxist.
And give me just one story reported on Fox that is a lie?
It is easy to attack your enemies with BS generalities, but provide proof.
Andrea…to Obama-haters…and they are legion in the Tea Party Brigade….the Hasan massacre is simply another opportunity to bash, blame and diminish the president and divide the country. What we've been seeing is the craziness and divisiveness of Gingrich's 90's revolution…only this time, on steroids.
Jeff…I've been providing proof for years….and here's a bit more…

Think, my good person….Obama has cut taxes on 95% of Americans, and has promised to not add one dime to the deficit with health care reform. Obama's health care reform will reward for-profit insurers while radically limiting government involvement in a public option.
How in the world is any of that indicative of communism?
Jon Stewart? really a comedian is your factual source.
Nice try, but what other than the background video of that story was incorrect, what about the reporting by CNN and MSNBC et al, that mininmalized the crowd at the 9/12 rallies. Or the reporting that likened them to violent mobs, when the real violent mobs were on the left?
Name one bill that has cut taxes for anyone. Next tell me that this health care bill will not raise taxes on exactly the people that you claim wont get a tax increase.
He has promised not to add 1 dime to the deficit, how about 1.3 trillion dollars, how is that paid for? No deficit, no new taxes, no truth in either of those statements.
Obama also said that all legislation he signs will be posted for 5 days prior to signing, and the Democrat led Congress said they will post bills for 3 days so the american people can read them, where has that happened, more lies out of Washington, and you believe that health care reform wont be another Medicare/caide tax travesty. Right, keep believing in fairy tales.
The house public option, if passed (one can only hope the Senate has more sense) is 1. Unconstitutional and 2. Will ultimately put private insurance out of business, private insurance companies operate on 2 to 4 % margins, the government operates on a -110% margin, who can "offer" lower premiums, subsidized by tax dollars. Doesnt that look like re-distribution of wealth? And isnt the re-distribution of wealth by government force, (especially when if you dont buy your government approved health insurance you can go to jail)
The point is, Barry the Kenyan, has surrounded himself with unelected, unapproved by the senate advisers, who have publicly stated that their goal for this nation is to fundamentally change america into a marxist nation, and that my friend is the HOPE and CHANGE, Obama talks about.
At least Fox News is willing and able to point out the hypocrisy of this administration, and use their own words to prove what they really stand for.
Appreciate the comment…..but sorry, you are hopelessly mistaken on many fronts.
Baggers carried loaded weapons to political functions. TeaPartiers busted up town halls and carried threatening signs suggesting violence. 60,000 turned out for the BeckerHead 9-12 event….wingers still claim 1-2 million.
Obama cut payroll taxes for 95% of Americans in his budget bill. Health care reform costs will be paid by a surtax on couples making a million a year or more. Exchange participants will pay premiums based on their income levels.
The House and Senate bills have been available to the public for weeks.
Is Medicare unconstitutional? Private health insurance companies should be eliminated. Their only purpose is to deny coverage in order to make more profits for a few. However, 5 million Americans in a public option beginning in 4 years is hardly the death knell for parasitical insurance companies.
Obama was born in Hawaii, and neither he nor anyone who works for him has a stated goal to change the nation into a Marxist economy.
The reason you don't have many facts correct, apparently, is because FOX seems to be your source for information. Turn away from FOX and walk into the light.
Available for weeks, when the Senate has not even decided between the 2 proposals in committee, the house bill gets hundreds of pages of new additions only hours before it goes to the floor.
Did not Anita Dunn claim Mao, (a mass murder of millions) as one of her top political philosopher who she turns to for guidance?
Carol Browner Worked on the Socialist International's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which argues that the global community must work collectively to address environmental policies
Van Jones Excerpt from a Nov. 2005 interview in the East Bay Express:
Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist." In 1994, the young activists formed a socialist collective, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, which held study groups on the theories of Marx and Lenin and dreamed of a multiracial socialist utopia. They protested police brutality and got arrested for crashing through police barricades. In 1996, Jones decided to launch his own operation, which he named the Ella Baker Center after an unsung hero of the civil-rights movement.
I could go on pointing out the links to Barrys adviser who are by their own words followers of Karl Marx and his idea of a socialist paradise, where the only paradise socialism creates is one for the ruling elite. But then you progressives have never learned from history, you only try to re-write it to fit your agenda, and if re-writing it you need to attack those who do dig for the truth, then the truths is just a casualty in the war for the hearts and minds of americans.
I`ll tell you what is un-American, not capitalizing the word Americans. Fox tell the truth? HAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah. In general the press tells the truth or the whole story? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.
Rev says, "No one here is defending an "islamic radical's deadly attack". Unlike the defense of Scott Roeder by conservatives."
Except that no conservatives defend Scott Roeder. We'd like to give him the death penalty. Good old Rev, always incapable of the truth.
Rev says, "to Obama-haters…and they are legion in the Tea Party Brigade….the Hasan massacre is simply another opportunity to bash, blame and diminish the president and divide the country."
Wrong again. We don't hate Obama. I certainly don't. He seems like a pretty personable guy to me. But his policies suck and will bankrupt the country (just as Bush's were doing before Obama, except Obama's far worse). And nobody I've heard is bashing Obama over Hasan. We know it isn't his fault that Hasan is a mass murdering jihadist nut, but we also want to investigate why the military didn't weed this guy out. We don't deny the existence of a jihadist movement in this country just for the sake of political correctness like liberals do. The Reverend is incapable of the truth one more time.
And Rev, if that Tea Party crowd shot that Hannity used was from an earlier Tea Party (and I think it was), that doesn't make Hannity as much of a liar as you were when you posted a fake Tea Party picture and falsely claimed it was the one I posted on my blog.
Boy, the truth almost always gets in your way, doesn't it ?
And one more time.
Rev says, "Obama has cut taxes on 95% of Americans, and has promised to not add one dime to the deficit with health care reform."
Obama has already raised the deficit more than any other President in American history (and deficits are taxes incurred, but not yet paid, so they are defacto tax increases, more than offsetting Obama's meager tax cuts), so you can stop with the insane talking points. Also, if you believe ObamaCare won't add to the deficit (and Congress will cut $500 billion from Medicare to make that happen), then I have a bridge to sell you.
"We don't deny the existence of a jihadist movement in this country just for the sake of political correctness like liberals do."
You and the mouse in your pocket? Or you and FOX? I mean…honestly…."a jihadist movement in this country?" Really?
Obama inherited the big deficit. I noticed you didn't disagree that Obama lowered taxes on 95% of Americans.
Can you get me a deal on a bridge to nowhere? I know Palin and her "real Americans" defenders are a bit confused on bridges to nowhere…sometimes for them, sometimes not…sometimes for and against simultaneously….so, long story short…..do you really have a bridge to sell? Or, you know, not?
