No, crystal balling it ain't as arousing or provocative as, say, Teabagging it…but crystal balling it is a bit more coherent and understandable than TeaBagging it…so there's that.

One year ago on October 13th, in a blog post entitled, The Upcoming Obama Presidency, The Reverend typed out these predictions….

".…..after having paid very close attention to what took place between the years of 1992-2000, I think it's safe for me to predict…..if you liked the savaging-Clinton days, you're gonna' just love the savaging-Obama days starting after January 20, 2009."

A media so corrupt, so perverse, that they couldn't even use the word lie or liar in any article they had written or on any teevee appearance for 8 straight years of an openly fraudulent and lying Bush administration…..will….magically…..snap out of the spell they've been under….and begin microscopically examining every word that Obama speaks. A main media so covered-up in their own mistaken, propagandistic, slime encrusted wrongheadedness for 8 straight years, a media who never really ever considered impeachment as worthy of discussion for the worst president America has ever known….will be balls-to-the-wall aggressive in not only savaging a President Obama but encouraging an obstructionistic-minded Republican minority to gum up the federal works with impeachment talk and accusations."

"With the upcoming Obama presidency….Democrats will have near total control. This, in itself, will anger and frustrate the extreme right so badly that (I can't help but say this) actions of violence will follow. I believe that is what we witnessed last week at McCain-Palin gatherings. The first-fruits realization by the extremist nuts on the right that they've lost the game and lost it badly, is beginning to sink in."

Maybe I should change my name to The Prophet.

But wait….there's more.

Less than 9 months into the Obama presidency and just look at what is being suggested by some of the crazy folks at Newsmax…..

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America's military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the "Obama problem." Don't dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn't the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn't mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it.

…..

Will the day come when patriotic general and flag officers sit down with the president, or with those who control him, and work out the national equivalent of a "family intervention," with some form of limited, shared responsibility?

…..

Military intervention is what Obama's exponentially accelerating agenda for "fundamental change" toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America.

After only 9 months of a new Democratic president, radical conservatives are suggesting that America needs a "military intervention" to deal with the "Obama problem."

Newsmax is a primary source for American wingnuts. I am sure that main-whore-media will soon be asking conservative Democrats, and in all seriousness, whether, indeed, the military should intervene to stop President Obama from carrying out his Constitutional duties as president.

It is the job of main-whore-media to investigate and report on the unhinged and insane beliefs of the American wingnuts….as witnessed in the main-whore-media's coverage of Rush Limbaugh's "I want Obama to fail", the TeaBagger incoherent nuttiness, townhall bust-ups complete with semi-automatic weaponry, and most recently, the Beck-ClusterFox 9-12'er event attended by a minimum of one zillion people. (one zillion equaling approximately 60,000.)

No matter how crazy American wingnuts behave, or talk, (like in the cases of Sarah Palin or Joe "You Lie" Wilson), main-whore-media, just like they did during Bill Clinton's days, MUST take it very seriously and dwell on all the "implications" for weeks.

What I'm saying, after having predicted one year ago what we're now experiencing, is that the ugliness will get worse. The craziness, the frenziness, the threats, the intimidation, the witchhunts…..and, eventually, the calls for violence…unfortunately….will only get worse.

America has entered a domestic crisis period.

Can you imagine how crazy they would go if Obama was a truly progressive president? Not republican-lite like Clinton, but something in the shadow of an FDR. For example, if Obama actually upheld the Constitution (wiretapping, torture, and Habeas corpus to name a few) and strongly pushed for a single payer health system?

Let's see if he tries to get a real liberal on the Supreme Court.

The Reverend September 30, 2009 at 1:30 pm

Exactly.

The biggest letdown has been Obama's embrace of neo-con policies. I gotta' say…I didn't see that one coming. Sotomayor is a moderate. We're unlikely to get even a mild public option in health care reform. The banksters are trying out new money schemes. Card-check fades with every passing day.

And we're only 8 full months in.

Ending the neo-con grip on America, or fighting for single payer, probably would have resulted in calls for impeachment by now. As it is….with the tepid policy changes Obama is proposing, the crazies are only calling for the U.S. military to take the reins. Crazy stuff.

There always was a ugliness about right wing media and now with a black man whose higher than they are -has caused them to go nuts. I can now say I'd be very happy to divide the country in to two, let them keep their "freedoms "I'll keep my social security and medicare and with them no longer on the roles we'll have no problems covering our half of the country. The deluded always believe they were right all along, even when the world doesn't end on the prophesied date.

Steve September 30, 2009 at 8:24 pm

Rev., I'd say your crazy, but that would be a slam on crazy people. Face it, from day 1 Obama let the Pelosi/Reid portion of the party hijack his presidency. He of course never had the far right, and by not following his own values he's lost the middle. He needs to get back to his message (and not just CHANGE, but why) and follow thru. All is not lost, but stand for something, quit waffling, and either succeed or fail, but that success or failure should be on his believes not the hijakkers.

Roy September 30, 2009 at 9:33 pm

The unbridled stupidity that that passes for thought on this blog is painful to read. You are quoting NEWSMAX and claiming you are a prophet? Seriously?!? Then Andrea adds the mentally challenged frosting on this stupid cake by calling everyone racists. Nice job. Even the president said its not racist to oppose him but you keep trumpeting that nonsense. Nothing says tolerance and open-mindedness like "divide the country in two". Are you advocating a civil war? That sounds like you are advocating violence to the Rev and Nancy Pelosi.

Knozzmoeking October 1, 2009 at 7:27 am

Andrea,

Most of us right wing nut job haters would be glad to take the half of the country you don't want and build it back into what America is supposed to be. You can have your entitlements, your Communist government and your racial hatred. When it all falls apart for you and the rest of the "enlightened", we'll even take you back just to prove you wrong.

The Reverend October 1, 2009 at 6:20 pm

It is not the desire of liberals to see the country divided. Keep in mind, liberals don't exclude anyone from their equality tent. Conservatives are, for whatever reason, the folks who have a difficult time being inclusive.

Andrea's comment reflects the disgust upwards to 60% of the country are now feeling towards those who insist on acting like nitwits.

Many conservatives, independents and libertarians insist the embarassing display of wingnuttery we've been witnessing is but a firm stand on principle. Nothing could be further from reality.

What's been happening….and as I (yes Roy) predicted long ago…..is the total implosion of the Republican Party. Yes, it will get uglier as the dead-enders become more and more frenzied as time goes on…..but make no mistake…..the current GOP does not represent America, past nor present.

Conservatives still bitterly clinging to their rotted ideology need to repent and change their ways. It's what Jesus would recommend.

Andrea October 2, 2009 at 9:50 am

Yes Rev I am getting disgusted you are right. I thought when Obama got elected we'd finally bring the country together. He has tried to do so with bi partisanship , brought in repubicans has worked with them and they have rejected every effort he's made. So the heck with em.
I just wonder how the right would really survive if they really got what they wanted a limited government and no taxes or less taxes, see how well they fight another country-on air (and polluted air that is ) .

The Reverend October 2, 2009 at 10:14 am

In order for the blue and red divisiveness to fade away…it takes willingness to cooperate by both colors. It is more than apparent that many, if not most, in the red camp have no intention of getting along for the sake of the nation. It is most apparent that the Rovian politics of dividing us is still the GOP goal. It hasn't worked for them in the last two election cycles, yet, like lemmings rushing off a cliff, apparently, they can't help themselves.

And Andrea…..haven't we already experienced what would happen if conservatives "got what they wanted?" The past 8 years has only weakened America.

Thanks, as always, for your comments.

Rev says, "It is not the desire of liberals to see the country divided"

And then,

Rev says, "Yes, it will get uglier as the dead-enders become more and more frenzied as time goes on…..but make no mistake…..the current GOP does not represent America, past nor present. Conservatives still bitterly clinging to their rotted ideology need to repent and change their ways. It's what Jesus would recommend."

It's like watching a train wreck. The Rev preaches divisiveness as he rails against it.

The Reverend October 3, 2009 at 9:12 am

Huh?

Da King October 4, 2009 at 11:27 am

The entire purpose of your blog is to demonize the politics of anyone you don't agree with, which is by definition divisive. Then you blame others for being divisive.

Figure it out.
