Your response about polling didn't make any sense. If you don't like polls, you wouldn't have cited one. My point still stands.

But on foreign policy, I get it. Only America should give things up.

I'm sure glad you aren't the President.

Because we don't govern ourselves by polling. Or at least we're not supposed to.

We elect representatives.

Yes, Obama has given up on a costly missile defense system.....which doesn't work. Why should Russia give something up?

"Bullsh*t on the ACORN stuff."

My, what reasoned and logical arguments you make.

My point about the Russians was, they haven't given up anything. That point still stands.

About the polls, why don't you just say what you really mean ? You like the polls when they are on your side, and you don't like them when they aren't. Why else would you have cited a poll in your post and then complained about the one I provided ? A little hypocritical, my friend.

Bullsh*t on the ACORN stuff. Dems are folding as they did on Iraq, torture spying on Americans, telco immunity, etc.

Giving up on a stupid waste of money that doesn't work AND causes friction with other nations isn't comical at all...it's what grown-ups WOULD do.

The country was split 53-46 in the election. Obama won. His campaign promised reform in health care. Governing by dueling polls now would be ridiculous. Especially after all the ugly conservative propaganda and lies.

You will find, Reverend, that most facts have a pronounced anti-liberal bias, but that's another story.

I read that story in the Beacon Journal about the internet, and I thought it was written by some liberal nutjob, since those are mostly the people who are trying to regulate the internet, talk radio, etc. I guess nuts can come from anywhere.

The latest Rassmussen poll had 56% against the Dems health care reform.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/september_2009/health_care_reform

The health care poll results come mostly from how you ask the question. I'd say Americans are roughly split on the Dems health care reform plans, tending slightly toward opposing it. That's why Obama has been on a media blitz lately, trying to drum up support. He wouldn't be doing that if it was overwhelmingly popular. He knows it's hanging by a thread.

"Russi is now considering sanctions against Iran." Yes, Russia is "considering." We have already GIVEN UP missile defense. The Rev turns this into a win. Quite comical.

And only the worst of the loons are still defending ACORN's actions. Sorry to see you're one. Obama, Congress, the IRS, the Census, and even ACORN CIO Bertha Lewis have already fessed up. ACORN's own insiders are flipping and testifying against ACORN now about how they've misspent funds, on top of all the other stuff.

I'll give you a couple point for the title of your post, though. That made me laugh.

The point is that, it is an unscientific poll. The only data that you can reliably get out of it is evidence that it was run by sneaky or incompetent people.

Anything else is like trying to measure the temperature with a ruler.

I think you meant to say that facts are dead.

What's of interest in that poll is that Republicans, by a slim majority, actually want a public option included in health care reform.

When do you think Republicans in Congress will honor the will of their own party membership? Ever?

Do you think Republicans in Congress, by voting no on health care reform with a public option, are just trying to please their real constituency....big insurance and big pharma?

The numbers are slanted. You get what ever answers you want if you pick the people that you question.

Obama won the election by 7%, 53 - 46

In this poll Obama supporters outnumber the McCain supporters 38 - 28. That is a 27% difference. Or nearly 4 times what it should have been. Clever? Sure. Fair? Certainly not.

Why not just poll the entire Obama family and then report that 100% of the people support the government administered health insurance plan?

Journalism is dead. The New York Times was seen leaving the scene with a smoking gun.
