I just saw my physician last friday. He said my morality was fine. Other things, not so much.

So, now it's okay if the GOP promotes family values, but they can't "bash" others with them ? I'm not sure I'm splitting those hairs the same way you are. If a GOP'er says teenage preganany is a problem, and abortion is a problem, is that bashing or promoting family values ?

Not promoting…bashing….using it as a wedge issue with the presumption that they possess some insider knowledge about morality. If you can't smell the raunch of the hypocrisy…..then a visit to your physician is in order. Just joking.

I guess I'm not following. How is GOP'ers promoting family values hypocritical ? Are you trying to say it's all members of the Republican party who are getting divorced, having teenage births, and viewing pornography ? No liberals in those states are doing those things ? How did you arrive at that conclusion ?

Would you somehow feel better if the GOP was promoting anti-christianity, abortion, the destruction of the family unit, and divorce, or what ? You aren't making sense.

I guess I'm not following.

I am not saying that talking about family values CAUSES divorce, out of wedlock births, or porno watching.

I am saying that the groups that wear those morality badges on their sleeves the most often…..are in reality, hypocritical. And that's what the chart demonstrates.

Then, I am concluding that it would just be better if the fundamentalist right and their GOP hopefuls put their "traditional moral values" banners away. The hypocrisy is overwhelming.

I wonder how poverty would contribute to divorce and teenage birth rates, Rev ??? Are you sure that divorce, teenage births, and pornography viewing are all directly related to Republicans talking about family values ?? That sure sounds like some "dumbassness" to me.

And even if you are correct, why then would you not want GOP'ers to be talking about these problems ? That makes even less sense.

You are right Rev. This chart is a piece of garbage and in no way represents the dems or republicans and populations regarding these subjects in these states. This is 4th grade rationel.

I think psychiatrists call it projection. Those who are troubled by their own faults see these faults to be a larger problem within the general populace. They then vote for those who they think will save them from themselves.

Your chart is self explanatory. I am sure if they graphed readership to newspapers other than tabloids and who listened to news channels other than Fox noise on a regular basis (real news such as CNN , Cspam, BBC etc ) you see the blue states on top. An example is when they asked Palin what papers she reads …duh .
