I'm not beating any drum. I was responding to your charge that Bush lied. I assumed you were talking about wmd. Now you are saying Bush did NOT lie about wmd ? That would be quite a change from you, since you've written hundreds of posts saying Bush did lie about it.

The WMD were not the issue. Beat that drum…but it ain't true.

The issue was whether Saddam Hussein was a threat to the U.S.

The truthful answer was no. The lie, ginned up with WMD scary stuff, was yes.

It's that simple.
