Disengaged? What?….all that earmark money from D.C. not good enough for the tender sensibility Alaskans? Give me a break. Stevens probably had his contractor buddies rig the election somehow.

What a crock of phony victimization baloney. If anything, Sarah Palin was the aggressor….just asking for scrutiny…..with her mouthy, brashness and her quick-to-smear insults.

If Stevens wins the election fair and square, then the Senate can force him to resign, and Palin gets to pick his replacement…or pick herself…or step down as governor and be appointed herself.

Ben argues that Stevens conviction on multiple felony counts HELPED him maintain his seat. So…do the Republicans wear felony convictions as a badge of honor, you know, running ON their criminal records, now?

No fraud in Minnesota…yet. Coleman just wants to suppress the counting, or recounting, of the votes. That's all.

What a shocker. The Dems win almost everything, and still the Rev is calling narrow GOP wins (as of this writing) in Alaska and Minnesota vote fraud, giving credence to the old joke that there are only two election outcomes for a liberal – either the Dems win, or the GOP cheated.

I heard one GOP Senator (I think it was McConnell, but I'm not certain) say that Stevens would be asked to resign or be forced out if he does win his Senate seat.

Exactly, Larry..

I would argue however that the conviction probably helped Stevens, and since the absentees were mostly cast before it, the margin may shrink.

A lot of people in Alaska depend on money and jobs Stevens brings back. Its that simple.

Maybe Alaskans feel disengaged from national politics now that they have seen how the snobby elitists in the media and blog world feel about them.
