No, I don't believe Israel would use nuclear weapons to destroy Iran. I don't. Because Israeli influence is so strong in U.S. foreign relations, it is possible that America would wage war PRIMARILY to save Israel.

Nuclear warfare of any kind, by anybody, is unacceptable.

I think, perhaps, you may be underestimating the silent Israel majority. They do not want war. They want peace. They want a peaceful co-existence. But it's just like here in the U.S., a small radical extremist group is wagging the dog in Israel just like one does here.

Or we could have them fight eachother, but we don't want them uniting to fight Israel. Israel is a small country, how many nukes could it sustain before it's existance would be threatened? The answer is ZERO … and they know that. Israel won't 'dick around' with a 'potential nuclear' Iran, they will carpet nuke them. Knowing this through backchanels, the US government under any leadership, will do Israel's bidding to pre-empt the 'nucklear option. Are you forwarding that Israel would not use nuclear weapons to stop Iran? Are you saying that the United States, under pressure from on of it's top allies in the world wouldn't goad Iran into war? Please tell me where I'm wrong here?

No one said the fall of the Ottoman Empire, (which Iraq was a former part of), would be easy. When the Ottoman Empire, after it's defeat during WW1, was broken up into over 40 nation states in the 1920's, everyone knew there was going to be some 'settling'. I, for one, am happy the Arabs are broken and fighting eachother rather than unified and attempting to retake their former lands. To not look at the region from a historical perspective and such nearsightedness is foolish. Most people don't know how many wars the Israeli's have fought since their re-inception in 1947 … if they did, maybe they would understand why we are actively molding the middle-east to our liking. Will there be mistakes? Certainly, but the price for not engaging our enemies on their soil and putting them on the defensive is not bearable.
